(photo by Dave Sykes) Kingsbridge Kurriculum Enjoy jazz band BY LIZ VOGT AND CATHY CHISHOLM On Tuesday, May 1, the Knights of Jazz band from Kincardine High School performed along with the choirs who sang at the Kiwanis Festival in Stratford. The Stapleton sisters sang several numbers along with a duet by Lisa F'rayne and Heather -Ann Stapleton. The Knights of Jazz band was terrific and the singing was appreciated. Several children from Grades 3 and flare making models of piateer farms for Auburn's 125th birthday celebration. Choirs from Grades Kindergarten to 6 went to Stratford to participate in the Kiwanis Music Festival. Parents of the Grade 2 children/ attended a meeting Lon Holy Com- munion. Religious con- sultant, Mary Kennedy, directed the parents in an at-home programme to help the children prepare for the sacrament. The winners of the French Public Speaking were: Grade 6, • Christine Stapleton, Billy Card, Ken Van Osch. Grade 7, Shawn Doherty, John Lalonde, Vicki Delberge. • Grade 8, Marian - Knoop, Teresa Van Rooy, Heather Ann Stapleton. Moira Couper, N.D.P. candidate for Huron - Bruce came to our school on Monday, April 30 to speak to the Grades 5-8. She gave a speech and then several questions wereasked by the students.
