Eddie Chilton of Moos-
onee, who is now attending
the University of Guelph for
a course in Public Utilities,
visited Mrs. Clarice Dalton

spent the weekend with her

Thd community enjoyed a
very worthwhile evening rec-
ently when "The Knights of
Jazz" band from Kincardine
and District High School
entertained at St. Joseph's
Community School. The aud-
ience showed much enthus-
iasm for this talented group
of young people. The stud-
ents from St. Joseph's School
filled in with some very good
chorus singing. The five
Stapleton sisters sang sever-
al numbers and accompanied
themselves with two of them
playing guitars. Lisa Frayne ,
and Heather Ann Stapleton
sang a duet.

Elgin vicinity, Mr. and Mrs.
Brian Dalton and family of
Palmerston, Mr. and Mrs.
Arnold Marsman and family
of London. The occasion was
Dennis Dalton's birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Clare
and Mary Louanne drove to
Noranda Rouyn, Quebec on
Friday where Mary Louanne
took part in the Lions Club
Multiple District A Public
Speaking Contest. Mary Lou-
anne represented the A-9
District Lions Club. There
were 60 speakers taking part
from Ontario, Quebec, Lab-
rador and Newfoundland:
Registration was Friday
night and the speaking took
place on Saturday with a
banquet at 4 o'clock. Mary
Louanne placed in the top 3.
The final speak -off was after
the banquet. Mary Louanne
placed 3 in this with a
difference of'' only 1 mark
between the 3. The topic of
her speech was "Driving".
Congratulations to Mary
Louanne for bringing this
honour back to Kingsbridge.
