The Goderich Minor
Soccer Association has
held registration for its
minor teams recently but
is still looking for more
players to fill out teams.
Registration for minor
soccer is down this year
but anyone interested in
playing can contact John
Bissett.
If there is not more
interest among
youngsters there may not
be a house 'league
program this year.
League play is -scheduled
to begin by the end of
May.
The Association could
also use more help in the
coaching department. t

Saturday against Ger-
man B. at Agriculture
Park at 5 p.m.
The Goderich B team
which finished seventh in
the third division last
year has been placed in
Div-ision I-V in the
restructured league.
They will also play a 20 -
game schedule and the
teams in their division
include; Ingersoll B,
Delhi B, Ridgetown,
Kincardine, St. Bar-
tolomeo, Strathroy B,
Slavia, Norwich and
Rodos.
The Goderich B team
will open their season at
Agriculture Park at 3
p.m. against Ridgetown
in the first game of a
doubleheader with the A
team to follow.
This year the league
has expanded to include
an under 19 division.
Krohmer was en-
thusiastic about the new
team saying that fills the
gap between minor
soccer and the senior
teams.
The new team will play
a 10 game schedule with
the first home game to be
played at Agriculture
Park against Marconi on
May 20at6p.m.
Many.players who have
graduated from the
minor ranks of Goderich
soccer will be playing for
the team and Krohmer
said that more are
welcome to sign. Kroh -
mer will coach the young
team -any player under 19 -
years of age interested in
playing soccer ,phould
contact him.
.,-Players on the junior
team will likely see a lot
action on the senior
teams as well, since a
league rule allows
players under 19 to play
as many as six games for
their senior teams. The
young team should
provide-- some exciting
soccer as well.
Soccer has grown in
Goderich during the past
few years and many
graduates of last years
fine bantam team will be
playing in the new
division. Krohmer
explained that the
majority of palyers on the
Goderich senior teams
had exposure to the game
from the Goderich Minor
Soccer Association and
he believes that in
another two years all the
players on senior teams
will have come through
the minor system.
