DEATH OF REV. BAKER,
On Easter Sunday Rev. Christopher
Baker, pastor o Idle Methodist church
at TitamesIFord, was stricken with pare
alysis, while conducting the morning
service, and with the exception a
brief intervals, he was unconscious up
to the time of this death oa .'Friday
,evening of hast reale.., He was in his
Slst year, and is survived by hie wife
who was formerly Miss ,Hattie Fol-
licle, sof Exeter, and several children,
R. Mn Baker was an earnest minis -
eerie' worker for the Master, and he
was highly regarded by those who
had been associated with him,. He was
a ,former pastor at Crediton and at
Woodham, He had been at Thames -
ford for two years„ The fttaeral ser-
vice was he,1d at ,Thamesford Monday
morning and the body was brought to
E:eeter for interments A sad fact in
connection with his passing was that
he had received his ,degree of D. D.
only last week. In. the death of \Ir.
Baker the church loses a clever and
scholarly minister,
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Coultis returned
