Outstanding play by Ralph Foster and Cam Bogie highlighted the early and late ends while the equally briliant performance of Rob Cox and Don Coughlan deminated the middle ends of a good game. The "Paquetteless" Health Unit was unable to match the stamina of the determined .Elementary Teachers as they dropped a "thrilling" 2 - 1 decision which eliminated any chance of the fine Health Unit contingent stealing first place from the Foresters. Diane Bud - nark's near perfect performance was almost equalled by Paul Dawson as these two teams battled it out in _adverse conditions, The GDCI Teachers brought in some student labour to overcome the heavy ice and Kevin Bundy and Jeff Dykstra outcurled their teacher teammates as the GDCI foursome defeated the Champion office team 6 - 3. Young Paul Bolan was the outstanding curler for the Champion men as "bionic arm" Bolan conquered the very slow ice on almost every at- tempt.while the rest of his team and opposition struggled to get their rocks over the hogline. Grads defeat. Mustangs 10-5 by Jim Fitzgerald In an exciting game last Saturday night at the Clinton arena, fans were treated to some excellent hockey as the Junior "C" Mustangs • took on the graduates, of the team from the past four years. Even though this year's team of youngsters were beaten 10-5 by the grads, they have nothing to be ashamed of, as the grads represented the creamof. the crop of junior teams, and with Clinton always having excellent teams ever since they entered "C", that was quite a crop. The returning players, even though they hadn't played together as . a team, put on an awesome ,display of skating and stick handling 'as they easily dominated their lighter, younger and less experienced rivals. The grads quickly grabbed a 4-1 first period lead on goals from Kenny Robinson, Mark King, Perry Jutzi and big John Graham before Bill Lewis replied or the Mustangs. The grads went; ahead 8-3 after the end df the second period 'on goals from Pete Thompson, Victory Kennedy and Rob Heard with a pair while Phil Arthur and Tim McLean scored for the Mustangs.
