Oppression df peoples
is nothing new; star-

has afflicted the world
since its beginning. But,
for the first time in
history, mankind is able
to do something about it.
Modern communications
can and do inform the
world in a matter of
minutes of every disaster
that happens. And at once
we know it is only a
matter of hours . before
help can arrive. How
different from the past!
Then, when word finally

answer the call for help
from the millions of

Who are these hungry,
under -fed, poorly -housed
people? Mostly they are
people in. the rural areas
of the under -developed
areas of Asia, Africa and
South and Central
America. They are
people living on the land
that their ancestors lived
on for centuries:- But they
seldom have any control

Knox Presbyterian Church in Goderich was the
scene of a lovely wedding on Saturday, February 10
when Marilyn Helen Swarthout, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Courtney Swarthout of St. Marys became the
bride of Brent Richard Little, sor. of 'Mrs. Margaret
Little of Goderich and the late Mr. Jack Little.
Music for the ceremony was provided by soloist
Miss Marjorie Swarthout, sister of the bride, ac-
companied by organist, Mr. Lorne Dotterer.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a
wedding gown of ivory polyester, over which she wore
a chiffon jacket trimmed with lace. She carried a
nosegay of red carnations and daisies.
The maid of honour was Bonnie White of Goderich
and the groomsman was Paul Swarthout of Cam-
bridge.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and reception
were held at the Candlelight Restaurant and Tavern in
Goderich.
Following a honeymoon to Kingston, Ontario Mr.
and Mrs. Brent Little will be residing at 116 West
Street in Goderich.
Prior to the wedding, the bride was feted at several
showers. Among the hostesses were Miss Bonnie
White, Mrs. Shirley Little, Mrs. Mary Helen Blue,
