Doctor explains equipment
to ladies' hospital auxiliary
Dr. M. Cauchi spoke to
the members, of the
Auxiliary to Alexandra
Marine and General
Hospital at the regular
meeting on Monday,
March 19.
Dr. Cauchi, who was
introduced by Mrs. C.
McDonald, explained the

equipment which were on
display.
The transfer isolette is
used in the nursery and
for the transfer of infants
to London when special`
treatment is necessary.
The isolette was donated
to the hospital by the
Auxiliary in 1977.
'Dr. "Cauchi expressed
gratitude to the Auxiliary
for equipment donated to
the hospital and
suggested that this
organization will be
needed even more since
finances have been
diminished.
Also on display wa%the

Treatment with the
Cryo Unit is preferable -
'because no anaesthetic is
needed, there is no severe
pain, and there is very
little scar tissue.
This unit can also be
used in treating severe
infections or cancer of the
cervix if it is not too
advanced.
