Teen Tones
will perform
The Goderich Teen
Tones will perforin again
this year in the second
annual, "Sound. .of
Goderich" concert to
take place Friday, March
30 at GDCI. They are
proud to be one of the
musical groups .of • the
Goderich community,
and look forward to
sharing the program with
the Goderich Concert .
Choir, Craigellen Singers
and Goderich Laketown
Band.
The Goderich Teen
Tones were organized in
the fall of -1974 by director
Irla Stewart. 'Its main
objectives are: to develop
good choral techniques of
tone,, diction, and
phrasing; to experience
music of many periods
and styles; and to enrich -
the culture of our com-
munity through per-
formance.
The 27 members of this
all -girl choir, range in
age from 13 to I8 years.
Each year there is a
considerable change in.
membership as younger
girls enter and older ones
leave to take jobs or,
pursue further education
away from Goderich.
There is just one
charter meniber still
singing with the group,
Debbie Shaddick, a
Grade 12 student at
GDCI.
Eleven of the members
joined a year ago.
Another six joined just
last fall.
Because of the con-
tinual change, it is quite a
challenge to maintain
continuity in the, quality
of music • presented.
The choir rehearses
each Tuesday night

We care because we
specialize in fitting
children's shoes.
We care enough to
take a personal inter-
est in properly fitting
every child who
comes into our store
for shoes.
As an independent shoe
store, we depend on your repeat business for
our success. And since only satisfied cus-
tomers will return to a store, we do our best to
ensure theat our shoes give complete
satisfaction.

of music. This cost is met
through payment for
performance and
donations from com-
munity groups. During
the past year this has

the Sound of Goderich
Concert, the Teen Tones
will compete in the
London Kiwanis Music
Festival. If anyone
wishes to hear them, they
