Couple to live in Meneset
North Streit United Church was prettily decorated
with candelabras on March 3 at 4 p.m. for the wedding
ceremony of Teresa Streeter and Carl Moller both of
Goderich.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Barbara Streeter
of Goderich and the groom is the son of Mrs. Johanna
Moller also of Goderich.
The Reverend Ralph King officiated at the double
ring ceremony. Grant Ellison sang The Wedding and
The Wedding Song.
The bride was given in marriage by her grand-
father, Wilfred Larder of Goderich. She wore a white
embossed souffle gown with a full skirt attatched to a
cathedral train, a low neckline, a fitted bodice, empire
waist line and long full cuffed sleeves. The waist,
neckline, cuffs and skirt were accented with guipure
lace. The finger tip veil of French silk illusion with a
ruffled edge was attatched to a daisy guipure lace
Juliette cap.
The bride carried a lace covered Bible with red
roses and baby's breath.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Anne McCartney of
Goderich, friend of the bride. She wore a pink
polyester floor length gown with a full skirt, square
neck, empire waist and short puff sleeves. She carried
a nosegay of white daisies, pink varigated miniature
carnations, blue status and baby's breath with
streamer's of white satin ribbon.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Brenda Davidson, friend of
the bride and Miss Anita Streeter, sister of the bride,
both of Goderich. They were gowned identically to the
matron of honor and carried the same flowers.
Flower girl was Jacqueline Larder of London,
cousin of the bride. She wore a white A-line full length
dress with a pink sash and carried the same flowers as
the bridesmaids.
Groomsman was Ron' McCartney of Goderich,
friend of the groom.
Guests were ushered into the church by Mike
Langenburg of Bay City, Michigan, friend off the
groom and Edward Streeter of Goderich, brother of
the bride.
Ringbearer was Brian Larder of London, cousin of
the bride.
Following the wedding, a reception was held at the
Legion Hall in Goderich.
For a weddng trip, the bride changed to a yellow
polyester street length dress with an orange rose
corsage.
Mr. and Mrs. Moller will reside at R.I. 5 Goderich
(Meneset Park).
Guests were present at the wedding from
Copenhagen, Denmark, Toronto, Listowel, London,
Kincardine, Bay City, Michigan, Galt Cambridge and
Goderich.
Valentine dinner
On January 8 Marie
Flynn came to entertain
the residents of Huron -
view with some old-tyme
music.
Mrs. Prouty and Mrs.
Finkbeiner come to
Huronview regularly on
Thursday of each month
for Bible Study. Regular
church service is held on
Sunday at 9:30 a.m. The
Reverend Broadfoot of
the Anglican Church
comes once a month for
Communion, while
Roman Catholic Com-
munion is held every
Friday morning with
FatherHardy officiating.
The birthday party at
Huronview for the month
of January was held on
January 17 with the
Clintonians of Clinton
entertaining. Mr. Flett
played the violin.
On January .19 the
Bayfield Baptist -Church
Young People en-
tertained the residents
with a variety of numbers
and some readings.
Marie Flynn, with
friends •Warren. Whit-
more, Loren Lawson ,and
Hugh Hodges, played a
medley of toe -tapping
music at Huronview on
Monday, January 22.

PAUL COURTNEY
SWARTHOUT
Knox ceremony
Knox Presbyterian chapel was the scene of a -quiet
wedding on Saturday, February 24 when Bonnie Lyn
White became the bride of Paul Courtney Swarthout.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. 'and Mrs. Fred
White of Goderich and the groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs.. Courtney Swarthout of St. Marys.
The Reverend G. Lockhart Royal officiated at the
double ring ceremony.
The attendants were Barry and Denise Eggleston of
Goderich.
Mr. and Mrs. Swarthout are residing at 150
Christopher Drive, Apartment 115, Galt -Cambridge.

Ed Stiles visits the
residents once a month to
play a variety of tunes on
the organ.
On February 6 Doug -
Stevens and his son
provided an hour of
music in the auditorium
at Huronview consisting
of piano, violin, mouth -
organ and ukulele.
On Wednesday,
February 9, the Over -
'Ninety Club held their
usual monthly meeting
with music by Elsie
Henderson (piano) and
Norman Speirs on the
violin. Tea and cookies
were served for refresh-
ments.
A Valentine dinner of
Kentucky fried chicken
was served to 125
or sensors
residents at Huronview in
the auditorium followed
by a program put on by
the staff. Requests were
made to have it again
sometime.
The February 21 bir-
thday party was put on by
the Huronview Women's
Auxiliary. The Reverend
Sargeant of Blyth sang a
medley of tunes ac-
companying himself on
the guitar. Mrs. Lockhart
was the Master of
Ceremonies. Lorne
Lawson (mouth organ)
and Mrs. Van Egmond
(accordion) played a few
numbers. while Miss
Nelda McIlrny sang a
solo. Lunch was served
and gifts were kindly
accepted by the
residents.
On February 26, Marie
Flynn (piano), Lorne
Lawson (mouth organ),
Warren Whitmore.,
Stanley Hillen, Wilson
McCartney, Helmer Snell
(violin) and Ken Dale on
the guitar entertained the
residents for an hour with
the help of Huronview's
own Cecil Skinner,
Norman Spiers (violin)
and Jim Ruddock on
accordion.
The Anglican Guild
Ladies Club of Clinton led
the World Day of Prayer
Service in the Huronview
Chapel on February 28.
Bowling was held in the
afternoon, at the bowling
alley in Clinton.
Goderich obituaries
MRS. BERTHA
GLADYS DUSTOW
Pentland of Sarnia; for about one year at the
seven grandchildren and age of 72.

Frederick Stokes.
He enlisted with the
Canadian Army in
England on June 26, d940
and served in Canada and
the United Kingdom for
the duration of World
War II. He was
discharged in London,
Ontario on May 30, 1946.
He worked as a printer
for a Toronto firm • until
retiring to Goderich
about eight years ago.
He was an adherent of
North Street United
Church.
On September 14929 he
married "Muriel A.
Baldwin. She survives
him.
Also surviving him are
Street in Goderich died in
Alexandra Marine and
General Hospital on
Friday, March 2 after a
lengthy illness at the age
of 88.
She was born in Ash-
field Township on August
25, 1890 to Anne (Young)
and Hadwin Pentland.
She moved to Colborne
Township in 1910.
She lived •in Colborne
Township until retiring to
Goderich in 1950. She was
married to Clarence
Dustow. He, predeceased
heron October 1, 1945.
The late Mrs. Dustow
was a member. of the
Ahmeek Chapter
I.O.D.E. and of..the
Bluewater Chapter 284;
Order of the Eastern
Star.
She was also a member
of. North Street United
Church and the U.C.W. of
that church.
She is survived by two
children, Gerald Dustow
of Colborne Township and
Mrs. Donald (Evelyn)
Patterson of
Georgetown; two
brothers, Leslie Pentland
of Goderich and Loren
held at Stiles' Funeral
Horne in. Goderich on
Monday, March 5 at 3
p.m. The Reverend Ralph
King officiated.
Interment was in
Colborne Cemetery.
Pallbearers were
Donald Patterson,
Donald Patterson Jr.,
Ronald Eggelson, Tom
Benson, Steve Moran and
Jim McArthur.
