North Street United Church in Goderich was the
scene of a pretty Christmas season wedding ceremony
on December 23 at 4 p.m. when Elaine Maryne Bean of
London and Alfred Joseph Gaudet also of London were
united in marriage.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Bean
of Goderich and the groom is the son of Andrew
Gaudet and the late Laura Gaudet of Stephenville,
Newfoundland.
The Reverend Ralph King officiated at the double
ring ceremony. Robert Blackwell provided the music.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She
wore a white velvet V -necked empire -waisted gown.
with full long sleeves and accented by baby pearls,
rhinestones and lace trim. The dress featured a six
foot long train with a veil held in.place by a headpiece
of white roses. The bride carried a bouquet of red
roses.
Maid of honor was Carol Coulis of Niagara Falls.
She wore'a red velvet empire -waisted gown with a
red velvet jacket featuring whitefur trim. She carried
a white fur muff accented with red roses.
Bridesmaid was Mrs. Linda Strynatka of London,
sister of the bride. She was gowned the same as the
maid of honor.
- Flower girl was Sonja Strynatka of London, niece of
the bride. She wore a red velvet dress with long
sleeves and a white eyelet yoke. She carried a basket
of red roses and red carnations.
„ Groomsman was Terry Scott of. Ingersoll. Gary
.Bean of Exeter, brother of the bride, ushered the
guests into the church.
Following the wedding ceremony, a dinner was held
at the Bedford Hotel which was decorated by a wed -
.ding cake and Christmas decorations.
The bride's mother greeted guests wearing a long
peacock blue dress with malibu trim and a corsage of
yellow rose buds.
For a wedding trip to Florida, the bride changed to a
royal blue dress with accordion pleats, a brown coat
and accessories, and a corsage of white roses.
•Mr. and Mrs. Gaudet wall reside. in London.
Prior to the, wedding, the bridewas feted at a shower
held by Carol Coulis in London.

Dorothy Culbert and David Bere wed at Dungannon.
Dungannon United Church was decorated with
baskets of white mums and yellow daisies for the
wedding ceremony of Dorothy Culbert and David Bere
on Friday, November 24 at 6 :30 p.m.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard
Culbert and the groom is the son of Mrs. Mary Bere.
The Reverend C. G. Westhaver officiated at the
double ring ceremony. Mrs. Debbie Culbert, sister-in-
law off the bride, was soloist. She sang "My Special
Angel", "Can't Help Falling in Love", and "Young
Love". -
, The bride was given in marriage by her father. She
wore a gown as illustrated in "Bride's Magazine". It
featured a mandarin neckline rounded in front of a
bodice, an empire waist and long, straight sleeves. A.
cape fell from the shoulders to the back of the waist
and into a long flowing skirt. Appliques trimmed the
front of the bodice and sleeves. The train fell all
around into a chapel style.
The bride's Iwaddress was a caplet trimmed with
lace and pearls4o-match the gown. It held in place a
one tier fingertip silk illusion veil trimmed Alvaround
the edges with matching lace.
The bride carried a bouquet of yellow roses.
MR. AND MRS. DAVID SERE
Matron of Honor was Mrs. Barb Snowden of St.
Helens. sister of the bride. She wore a gown in cooper
quiana with a round heckline and a bowpat the front. It
featured tiny smocking across the shoulders and
waistlirwith an overlay covering, long full sleeves
Yvith elastic bands to match the smocking and a
flowing skirt. She carried a bouquet of yellow and
white daisies and baby's breath.
. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Annette Bere and Miss
Valerie Wilson, friends of ttie bride, both of Goderich.
Their dresses and flowers were the same as the
matron of honor's.
Kimberly.Snowden of St. Helens, niece of'the bride, -
was flowergirl. Her dress was similar° to the
bridesmaids' dresses only white in' color and she
carried the same bouquet in a miniature size.
Groomsman was Gerald Bere of Goderich, brother
of the groom. Ushers were John Stanbury, brother-in-
law of the groom and Jamie Bere, brother of the
room, both of Dungannon.
"The groom and his attendants wore beige three-
piece tuxedos with white carnation boutonnieres.
Following the wedding ceremony,a dinner was held
at Saltford Valley Hall. A reception and dancewere
held in the evening with music by Star Trex.
The bride's mother greeted guests wearing a rose
silk gown with a gathered cape accented in the back
with a cowl rand a white orchid corsage.
The groom's mother wore an ivory polyester ,gown
With ala-CO-Top an a variegated stole.
For a wedding trip to Eastern Ontario, Quebec and
New York State, the bride changed to a brown three-
piece.suit.
Mr. and Mrs. David Bere are residing in Dungan-
non.

Edith Craig. Seasons
greetings were the order
of the night.
