A COMIC CHRISTMAS
I remember it way back
in "75",
It was a Christmas no one
forgot;
Among us was family,
friends and St. Nick,
I was the year I thought I
got shot.
We were sitting around in
the old barn by the pond,
opening presants one by
one.
And telling lies by the
bundle,
And having a great deal
of fun.
As you can see this isn't
you usual affair,
for our drinks I'm sure
were not pop.
laughing . and dancing
was the usual thing,
but the outstanding ef-
fects was a cop.
He asked me if I had been
drinking or not,
I couldn't say yes, so I
lied.
Then I ran for the door as
fast as I could,
When he fired I thought
I'd died.
I fell to the ground in a
great deal of shock
Until I found out it was a
blank.
So to sum up my story
from "75"
This whole thing was set
as a prank.

PIONEER CHRISTMAS
Long ago when Pioneers
were alive
Christmas was a, happy
and quiet time,
With no bells to ding and
no chimes ro ring.
Father would go out and
chop the tree,
While all the kids went
out to see,
With mom in the kitchen
baking Christmas goods
and all those little tasty
foods.
When the tree was
chopped and stood by the
fireplace
Little sister and brother
would decorate it with
lace.
Our Christmas days are
different
from Pioneer's peculiar
ways,
But the only thing that
stays
the same, is that Christ
our Saviour came.

PIONEER CHRISTMAS
Long ago in Pioneer
times Christmas was
very different from
today. Instead of buying
expensive gifts for each
other, they would make
things. The mother just
couldn't pop the turkey
into the micro -wave oven
and expect it to cook in a
half hour.
They wouldn't have had
a beautiful tree with all
kinds of decorations and
colorful lies. After their
dinner Mom and the
daughter couldn't put the
dishes in the ,dishwasher
and sit down and watch,
television or listen to the
radio.
You know sometimes I
think there was more love
and togetherness back
than, then there is now at
Christmas.

A CHRISTMAS VISITOR
Once upon a time in a
town called Walnut Grove
there was a poor family
named the Lootlesses.
Now it was Christmas
time and since they were
poor Mama and Papa
Lootless could not give
their children any gifts.
They were very upset,
but their children, Junior
and Emma were not
upset they knew Santa
would come.
They had just put up
their Christmas tree
whenc'they heard a knock
on the door, Mr. Lootless
went to answer it. When
he opened the door he
found an old beggar
standing outside.
"Come in. Come in out
of the cold," said Mr.
Lootless.
The old man stepped
inside.
"What is your name
sir," said Mr. Lootless.
"Nicholas Clausen
shenacal," replied the
beggar, "I need a place to
sleep, just for tonight."
The Lootlesses gladely
took the old man in. They
showed the old. man his
room and everyone went
to bed.
The next morning the
family went downstairs
to have breakfast. When
they got there they were
astonished . to see the
downstairs brimming
with presents. Mr.
Lootless thought
carefully. Then he said.
"By George, that
beggar was jolly old St.
Nichols." -
"Santa Claus," replied
the children and that year
and `every year that
followed the Lootless had
lots of presents for
Christmas thanks 'to jolly
old Nicholas Clausen-
shanca.
