We asked the kids...
What will Christmas be like when you're 50
years
y
I am fifty
When
old and am a grand-
mother in 2017 it will be a
lot different at Christmas
time. For one I will not be
a kid anymore. Therefore
I will not tear open
packages finding dolls
and toys. Instead.' will be
buying flying rockets for
dolls and do-it-yourself
rocketships for my
grandchildren.
The kids instead of
dreaming of Santa Claus
coming in a sleigh full of
toys they will dream of
Santa Claus coming in an
egg, bringing their new
Hi-Fi. Santa will wear the
latest of disco fashions.
Can you dig? I knew that
you could. In the morning
the children find there
new hi-fis and their
parents crazy. And thats
the end of Christmas.

I think Christmas is a
time to enjoy, for families
to get together and show
their warm feelings,
Christmas isn't just
giving and getting, its to
remember something,
someone. Its a time when
Christ was born long ago
and if it wasn't for Christ
we wouldn't be here so
lets all be thankful. I
think Christmas is a time
for sharing, sure its ok to
get a•few presents but do
remember why its a
special date. We should
share our thoughts and
feeling. Thats what
Christmas means to me.

"In forty years from now
will Santa Clause still
come and how?"
"Will he come in a sleigh
with eight with eight reinde.er;"
"Or will he just sit home
and drink lots of beer."
"Will he bring lots of
presants and toys."
"Or will he just sit at
home and 'dream about
girls and boys"
"Will he come down your
chimely and say ho ho"
"Or will he come to your
door and say "no no".
"Do you think he will
ever still come to the
mall,"
"Or do you think you
will never see him at all."
"But if you don't think
any of these things are
true".
"You'll throw this poem
away won't you."

On a cold wintry day
when I was driving home
from work, I had just
remembered that today
was the day before,
Christmas. I didn't know
what to do because I
haven't bought any
presents. Well, the first
thing I have to do is go
back to . town to get
presents.
I bought a toy car,
truck and tractor for
Tomy. I bought a dress,
dolt andf a barby van for
Sally.
But, there was one
more child that was little
jay. I didn't know what to
get him. I was clean out
of money. Then I
remembered that I
worked at a sled factory
so I drove over there"and
snuck a sled. Then I
speded home.
By the time I got home
it was dark and the
children were asleep. So I
rapped the presents and
put them under the tree.
And I went to bed were
grandmother was up
waiting for me. I told her
about all the thing I
bought and ,then I went to
sleep. Then the next
morning my children
were very happy esecely
little jay. So the next time
I go Christmas shopping
I'm taking more money.

Is Christmas like when
I was a small -child as my
mom was like me. In 1978
there was sleigts in those
days. Some trees were
real, some was not real.
That was in 1978. Now in
2018 there was
snowmobles some
sleights and trees of real,
some of cryeal trees. The
would toys be different
when we were a small
child like them. When
Santa Claus comes to
your house, he would be
old like our mom and
Dad. I would have to buy
toys for our, children.
That would be the best
Christmas when I am
Fifty and have grand-
children.

When I am fifty
Christmas won't be 'like
now. You will be lucky if
you get one present. We
will be lik-ely be riding in
a horse sled. When I am
fifty people might throw
snowballs or steal
presents from a dressed
up person. That is what I
think Christmas will be
like when I am fifty.
