We asked the kids...
What is Christmas like in space?
Twas the night before
Christmas
When all through the
ship,
there was no noise at all
not even a drip.
The stockings were hung
by the computer with
care
with hopes that St.
Nicholas soon would be
there
The children where
nestled all snug in their
beds -
While visions of space
candies danced in their
heads.
The captain in charge the
crew in their caps
had just settled down for
their long winter naps.
When out on the
Milkyway there arose
such a clatter
I sprang out of bed to see
what was the matter.
Towards the window I
flew like a flash
Into the control room and
threw up the sash
When what to my won-
dering eyes should apear
a miniature spaceship
with eight engines I could
hear
With a little old driver so
lively and quick
I knew in a moment it
must be St. Nick
Louder than trumpets his
engines became
And all of a sudden he
turned them on by name.
On Dasher, on Dancer,
Prancer, on Vixon,
On Comet, on Cupid, on
Donner, on Blitson.
From the top of the
launcher to the top of the
wall
Now blast away, blast
away, blast away all.
Into the, transporter room
he came with a bound.
His eyes how they
twinkled, his dimples how
merry
His cheeks were like
roses, his nose like a
cherry.
His droll little mouth was
drawn up like a bow.
And the beard on his chin
was as white as snow.
He had a broad face and a
little round belly
that shook when he
laughed like a bowl ful of
jelly.
He spoke not a word but
went straight to his work
Filled all the stockings
and turned with a jerk
And laying his finger side
of his nose
Giving a nod and out of

CHRISTMAS ON
THE ENTERPRISE
This is captain Kirk
stardate4536.2 aboard the
U.S.S. Enterprise. We are
in deep space on the
boundary of the Klingon
sector. We are enjoying
Christmas this year. Last
year we suffered heavy
damage from a Klingon
attack. This year we are
prepared with full ton
torpedos. Spock gave me
a computer this
Christmas instead of a
phaser charger. The
Klingons are coming
yells Sulu. Fire yells
captain Kirk just as the
words were leaving his
mouth the Klingon ship
explodes. This is captain
Kirk signing off after
another Christmas.

the transporter room he
rose.
He leaped in his
spaceship and turned on
the lights.
And I heard him exclaim
as he rode out of sight
"Merry Christmas to all
and to all a Good Night."

A CHRISTMAS ON
THE ENTERPRISE
Christmas " would be
different,
If you spent it out in
-space,
Santa would need his
reindeer,
Or he'd stay floating in
one place.
Santa wouldn't come
down chimneys.
Instead he'd come
through the door,
Stockings would hang on.
door knobs,
And be full of presents
galore,
Trees would be in the ,
control rooms,
When decorated they' -d be
done,
But I you really think
about it,
An earthly Christmas is
more fun.
