This represents the highest participation in a UCO annual meeting Since 1975. Four hundred voting delegates reviewed progress made during the fiscal year ending Sep- tember 30, 1978 and participated in an af- ternoon question period which included subjects ranging from UCO's Windsor Grain Terminal .Elevator „ to feed mill renovations across Ontario. The annual meeting represents a culmination of the co-operative's democratic process which includes spring and fall meetings in each of UCO's nine zones.* United Co-operatives of Ontario is owned by more than 44,000 individual members and 52 member co-operati ves representing another 35,000 members throughout the province. They exercise local control through a democratic co-operative structure. UCO supplies its members and patrons with a complete line of farm inputs including feed, • seed, fertilizer, hardware and petroleum through CO-OP outlets In Ontario and markets grain, livestock and poultry. Total UCO sales were $369.3 million and net savings increased to $2.9 million for fiscal 1978. Total assets of $142.9 million included capital expenditures of $11.8 million last yeat.
