The Little
Angel....

over he cried his
message. Then,
forgetting he was ban-

the choir was gathering.
What a mighty host of
angels. Everyone was
there...everyone that is
except the Heavenly
Choirmaster. Without
him, the Heavenly Choir
would never be able to
sing praises for the
newborn King.
• That's when the little
angel got his idea.
Bravely, the little angel
climbed up on a high,
jagged rock. Silence fell
over the choir. Slowly,
ever so slowly, the little
angel raised his shaking
arms. To his own great
amazement he began to

This is going to be a
rough Christmas. Don't
let it get around, but
Santa just laid off 2,000
elves.

Heard about the

complicated, but we now

Write a letter
to Captain Comet
today
move his arms so as to
direct the Heavenly Choir
and more surprisingly
than that, ,the Heavenly
Choir began to sing.
—Glory to God in the
Highest," they chorused,
"and peace on earth,
goodwill to all men."
When the Heavenly
Choirmaster finally did
come hurrying to the
hillside, he rejoiced at the
sight. bf the grand choir
and at the sound of the
strangely beautiful
music.
• He went over to where
the little angel was
standing and raised the
tiny director high onto his
shoulders. Then the
Heavenly Choirmaster
handed the little angel his
golden baton and the little
angel continued to direct
the entire host of
heavenly angels.
I don't know how long
the singing went on but I
do know it was the most
joyful music this world
has ever heard.
When it was over, the
Heavenly Choirmaster
set the little angel down
on the ground. For the
first time, the little angel
noticed the great light
that shone all around.
The little angel thought
it must be from the bright
star overhead, but it was
shining down on a stable
in Bethlehem.
No, the light was
beaming forth from the
very spot where he stood.
He looked at himself. And
do you know what had
happened?
Why, the little angel's.
halo was absolutely
straight, the hem of his
gown was as white as the
snow and his wings were
like two giant silver
mirrors they shone so
clean and bright.
And as far as I know,
the little angel's wings
were never dirty again.
In holidays
If mom and dad are planning to take the kids on a pre -Christmas trip to
Toronto, the family should drop in at the Metro Toronto Zoo where Santa's
reindeer are on display every day except December 24 and December 25 or
at McLaughlin Planetarium where The Christmas Star is again on display.
Show times for The Christmas Star tomorrow are 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; on
Saturday, 1:30 p.m.; 3:00 p.m.; 4:15 p.m.; and 7: 30 p.m. If the family goes
after Christmas, both are still excellent attractions for the kids.
