Foresters continue to crash In ustrial -cutling9ppositiati.
The Forester
juggernaut continued to
crush all opposition as the
Goderich Industrtal
League completed the
first quarter of its
schedule. Foresters
Jameson ...Ribey, Ralph
Foster, Jim Hawkins and
Cam Bogie were all very
sharp as they over-
powered the champion
office team 14-1. Forester
skip Cam Bogie com-
plimented opposing skip
Jim Bolan after the
game. "Bolan", Bogie
said, "was very sharp.
He cut us down in almost
every end." Bolan
summed up his feelings
with the observation and
warning that the
Foresters appear to be
the team to beat this
year.
A team that might
challenge this opinion is
Victoria and Grey. V & G

place with a come from

the Assessment Office.
Excellent performances
by Pete Crew and
Eleanor Erskine allowed
the undefeated
moneymen to score four
big points in the fourth
and fifth ends to reverse
an earlier two point
deficit and claim the
victory. Assessment vice -
skip Jim Bell admitted he
was concerned about his
team's poor record this
year but confided that
help may be on the way in
the form of a new curler.
His name is Matthew
Bell; he weighs 7 lbs 9
ozs; and is one week old.
Congratulations Jim, but
do you really think
Matthew will be ready by
the playoffs?
The G.D.C.I. Teachers
are a little worried that
they may have used up all
their allotted breaks for
this season already. The
educators posted their
fourth one-sided victory
in row by defeating the
Victoria Teachers 14-1.
Once again it was out-
standing curling by the
front three of Bill Wor-
sell, Donna Doidge and
Doug Bundy that allowed.
the highschool teachers
to overcome the efforts of
their elementary cohosts.

Mitchemore clan, Don

their quest for their
fourth triumph as they
continually drew to
difficult areas of the
circle and forced the
teenagers to make very
tough shots. Viking skip
Jim Crawford admitted
later that his 't'eam was
learning something new
every week and that's why
they are in the league.

in the early ends as he
made a number of fine
shots to help his team to
an early lead. Local 1863
is one of the best take out
teams in the league and
comeback victories
against them are very
rare. Bev Wright and
Sylvia Bolan in particular
discovered this as their
good shots were often
topped by the efforts of
the union foursome.
Health Inspector John
Orr cleaned up the op-
position very efficently as
he led the Huron County
Health Unit to an im-
pressive 14-5 win over the
Champion Sales Office.
Laurie Ginn and her

the Legion in this im-

A sensational double
takeout by Elmer Taylor

stage for a dramatic
conclusion to the game of

Elementary Teachers

curling by Mary Lou

three-point lead for the
teachers with only one
end to go. Fine shots by
