The students and staff
of . Colborne Central
School scored another
first for their float at the
Santa Claus Parade in
Goderich on Saturday.
The theme of the
parade was "Peace"
which can be presented in
various ways.
The students at
Colborne Central realized
one can learn a great deal
from the animals.
Invariably, wars are
created by man, so they
adopted the plan or
slogan, "Look to the
Animal World", with the
idea that adults can take
a lesson from the har-
mony in the animal
world.
Using 'the words of the
song they sing at school,
"Our Animals' Ballad",
they, planned their float
around the ballad of The
Lion and the Lamb.
Congratulations are in
order tothe.students and
staff. They in turn wish to
say a sincere thank -you
to Arnold Young of
Colborne who is so co-
operative and always
ready and willing to
supply the means of
conveyance with his
wagons and especially
well-groomed horses.
This Saturday,
December 9 the Colborne

volleyball teams will be

Colborne Central as well
as students from other
schools in Huron County,
will be watching the Walt
Disney movie, "Snowball
Express", • which
promises to be a highlight
for all.
