room at Huronview on
November 20 and in the
absence of the president,
Mrs. A. McNichol the
.vice-president, Mrs.
LeonaLockhart opened
the meeting.
Mrs. E. Webster read
the minutes and Mrs.
Margaret Thorndyke
gave the treasurer's
report. It was moved.that
all bills be paid, this
included the new color TV
which had been presented
to the residents on family
night, November 2.
At Ridgetown
The roll call was an-
swered by saying what
part you likedbest at the
Christmas . dinner. The
Christmas Fair has been
discontinued owing to
manyother activities in
December.
The auxiliary is
responsible for the
February birthday party
and hope to make it a
Valentine party as well.
The next regular meeting
of the auxiliary will be
March 19 at which the
officers will be elected for
the year.
The meeting adjourned
and the members visited
the residents.
Top students
get awards
Over $4,000 will be
granted to 25 Ridgetown
College students the
evening of December 7 at
the College's annual
Awards Night program
on the campus.
These awards
represent outstanding
academic achievements
by the students during
their first year of studies
in the College's three
diploma programs.
The awards are given
from - R.C.A.T,'s
scholarship and awards
fund, which is con-
tributed to by companies,
governments,
organizations and local
individuals who are
concerned with ex-
cellence in 'agricultural
education in South-
rwestern Ontario.
This is the first year in
which awards have
totalled over $4,000.
