Charley Lemmex, chairman of site development, told those present at theceremony that the construction project represented a . "miracle" and an "in- vestment in the youth and future of the church." The Lake Huron camp presently provides nine one-week sessions for about 530 bays and girls CHURCH PAGE New OHA president Professor John Wevers, chairman.of the_ Board of Governors of Central Hospital, Toronto, has been named .,President of the Ontario Hospital Association for the 1978-79 term. The election took place at a meeting of the Board of Directors following the OHA's annual meeting on November 6. Robert T. Cameron, Executive Director of Stratford General Hospital, was elected to the Board of Directors of the OHA that same day. J. David Innes, partner in the law firm of Valin, Innes and Carroll of Sudbury and member of the Board of Sudbury -,Mg-ra-Qriai, Hospit,,4•14 was:. also elected to the Board of Directors that day. The Ontario Hospital Association is the representative association of hospitals in Ontario. It works on behalf of its members to provide high quality hospital care for the people of the province. from Presbyterian churches in Southwestern Ontario, a synod with about 80,000 members. But once the new con- crete -block building and improved sewage facilities are completed, the camp is expected to support about 1,000 campers per season, according to Lemmex. He said the foundation of the building is ex- pected to be completed this fall and the facilities should be completed by spring. The building is the first of five phases. of redevelopment at the camp where children may hike, play sports, learn crafts and swim in a Christian environment, Lemmex said. Zehrs Manager Dale McDonald and St. Peters Catholic Women's League 'president, Muriel Murphy presented a new wheelchair for use by residents of Maitland Manor last week. Seated in the chair is Isabelle ,Murray. The CWL group ap- plied to Zehrs to obtain the chair through the company's save a tape plan. Mrs. Murphy ex- plained ° that thetpjan must be undertaken by a community group and anyone wishing to donate grocery bill tapes may do so to the CWL or Maitland Manor. DOROTHY JANE SQUIRE Mrs. Dorothy Jane Squire of 180 Cayley Street, Goderich died in Alexandra Marine and General Hospital after a lengthy illness on Friday, November 10 at the age of 67. She was born in Ontario on July 21, 1911 to Mary (Paisley) and Charles Nelson Jones. She moved to Sheppardton about 1920. On June 10, 1931 she married John Howard Squire in Goderich. They liVed in Dungannon until 1944 and then moved to Colborne Township until 1962 at which time they moved to Goderich. The late Mrs. Squire was a member of North Street United Church, Goderich. She was predeceased by her husband on May 4, 1976. She is survived by three sons, Donald of Goderich, Douglas of Toronto and Gary .of London; three sisters, Mrs. Douglas (Isabella) Cumming of Detroit, Mrs. Harvey (Ellen) Sillib of Blyth and Mrs. Harold (Pearl) Johnston of Goderich; and three grandchildren. A funeral service was held at Stiles Funeral Home on Monday, November 13 at 2 p.rn. The • Reverend Ralph King officiated. Interment was in the Maitland Cemetery, Goderich. Pallbearers were Leroy Harrison, Ray Fisher, Cliff McNeil, Bill Caesar, Jamieson Ribey and Ken Sowerby. ISAIAH MILTON KILPATRICK Isaiah Milton Kilpatrick of Goderich died in Alexandra Marine and General Hospital on Tuesday, October 31 at the age of 87. He was born on October 4, 1891 in Ashfield ;Township to John and Frances (Albin) Kilpatrick. He was the youngest and the last surviving member of the family of four daughters and four sons. In 1912 he married the former Clara Isabel Twamley, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Twamley of Ash- field. The couple farmed in Ashfield Township for 35 years before moving to Goderich in 1947. They have lived in Goderich for the past 31 years. The late Mr. Kilpatrick worked as a fertilizer agent and later as a fertilizer sales agent covering a large territory before it was zoned. He was also a drover and a cattle dealer. He worked at the Goderich stock yards for many years as a livestock shipper and weigh man.. He was a member of North Street United Church. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Clifford of West Wawanosh and Harvey o'f Ashfield Township; and two grandchildren, Mrs. Mark (Janice) Hergott and Barry Kilpatrick. He was predeceased by one son Melvin; one, daughter, Verna; and one grandson, Mark. A funeral service was held at McCallum Funeral Home at 2 p.in. on Friday, November 3. The Reverend Ralph King officiated. Interment was in Dungannon Cemetery. A,.R.C. St: &mrkb 534:4144 for MISS CHRISTINE McLEAN Miss Christine McLean of Huronview died in Huronview on Tuesday, November 7 at the age of 82. She was born on August 20, 1896 in Goderich to John and Marie (McLeod) McLean. She was a life-long resident of Goderich .before moving to Huronview. She had been employed at the Bedford Hotel while living in Goderich. She was predeceased by five sisters and six brothers. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Harry (Lillian) Downie of Goderich. A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. on Thur- sday, November 9 at McCallum Funeral Home. The Reverend G. L. Royal officiated. Interment was in the Maitland Cemetery, Goderich. Pallbearers were Dennis Fincher, Clayton Edward, Leonard Boyce and Wilfred Denom me. He was born on January 18, 1909 in Clinton to Edward Charles and Emily Jean (Barr) Scruton. He was an adherent of Knox Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Evelyn Marion 'Drennan; three children, Mrs. Marion Parkinson of Kitchener,' Beverly of Toronto and Edward of Goderich; and five grandchildren. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Wed- nesday, November 8 at McCallum Funeral Home. The Reverend G. L. Royal officiated. 9 Interment was in Maitland Cemetery, Goderich. Pallbearers were Jack Pollock, Jack Cook, Cliff Brown, Carl Cox, Clayton Edward and Marty Buchanan. Relatives and friends were present at the funeral from Kitchener, London, Chatham, Vienna, Hanover, Tillsonburg, Aylmer, (Clinton, Owen Sound, Ilderton, Camp Borden, Londesboro and Goderich. MRS. ELIZABETH (COURTNEY) SALLOWS Mrs. Elizabeth Sallows of 74 Arthur Street, Goderich died at her residence on Tuesday, November 7 at the age of 91. She was born in Huron Township, Bruce County on August 28, 1887 to Elizabeth (Chisholm) and Patrick Courtney. She lived in Huron Township until her marriage to William T.
