"With God one is a
majority," was the
philosophy of the late
Jack Miner, of bird
conservation fame of
Kingsville, Ontario.
George Cox, a grand-
nephew of Miner, came
under his influence early
in life and imbibed that
kind of faith. After high
school, home study
courses and graduation
from the Salvation Army
Training College in
Toronto, Mr. Cox spent 13
years deeply involved in
social work, evangelism
and journalism,
labouring among the less
fortunate.a:,
In 1949, those concerns
took him to Southern
Africa, where his labours
for the African people
and his journalistic
statements kept him
under constant sur-
veillance by the South
African'Government.
Mr. Cox said, "I went to
Africa on a seven-year
contract, but stayed for
20, with only one home
furlough."
Fourteen of those years
were associated with the
indigenous and inter -

Mrs. Marie Blanche
Cote of Goderich died in
University Hospital,
London after a short
illness on Thursday,
November 2 at the age of
66.
She was born on
February 11, 1912 in
Quebec to Gideon and

models available. Mr.
Mulder proved a very
capable and congenial
guest during his com-
mentary and the question
period that followed.

Alexine Rodrigue;
and eight grandchildren.
Prayers for the
deceased were said at
McCallum Funeral Home
on Friday evening,
November 3.
A funeral was ,held at
St. Peter's Church at 10
a.m. on Saturday,
November 4. The
Reverend Father A.F.
Loebach officiated.
Interement was in St.
Peter's Cemetery in
Colborne Township.
Pallbearers were
