The Municipality of Goderich representatives at County have four votes (based on per capita). Four votes are counted as such for the election of the Warden and in a recorded vote, in all other instances a show of hands is all that is required. 2. Are there benefits for the reeve and-,• deputy. - reeve to sit on local municipal council as well as county council, or should county representatives be separate from town council and serve on county council alone? Reeve and deputy reeve serve as liaison persons between the Municipality and County and go to bat at County for the interests of their respective Municipalities. Nothing would be gained in a separation., 3. Is the reeve second only to -the mayor at the municipal council table and the deputy -reeve third in line? If so, should the mayor, reeve and deputy -reeve work as a team to provide direction and incentives for the council? -Yes. 4. Is Goderich nearing the time when it should sever ties with Huron County and become a separate municipality similar to Stratford and Perth County? No. 5. In your opinion, what is the financial status of Goderich and how are major projects like the connecting link, Square beautification and similar major expenses, going to affect future growth? The financial status of Goderich appears good at this time. 0. Is Goderich doing enough to promote in- dustrial growth , here? How do you visualize industrial Park in the 1980's? Goderich is doing everything within its power to promote in- dustrial growth. Bigger and better. 7. Do you feel the steps the town has taken to draw abreast of recent growth and prepare for future growth are adequate? Yes. 8. Are present roads and services a priority or is expansion a priority? Roads and services are ,a priority item, ex- pansion falls within the realm of "long term planning" for our municipality. + + + Most of us would learn frofll our mistakes if we weren't so busy denying we made them. +++ One thing that can be worse than paying in- come tax is not have to pay ot'le.
