The Goderich Lions
Pee Wees took two vic-
tories in WOAA hockey
action during the past
week, defeating, Port
Elgin, 6-3, here Saturday
and blasting Mount
Forest, 10-0, in Mount
Forest Sunday. The game
in Mount Forest was a
four -point game.
The pair of wins leaves'
the Lions with a league
record of two wins and
one loss and an over-all
record offive wins and
two losses, including
exhibition games.
The win over Port Elgin
here gave the Lions
revenge for a 5-4 loss at
the hands of the Port
Elgin team in their
league opener last week
in Port Elgin. The Lions
left little doubt of their
desire to win Saturday as
they came out hitting and
never let up.
Daryl Madge opened
the Goderich, scoring,
clicking on a pass from
John Thompson midway
through the first period.
Grant Garrow's goal on a
breakaway pass .from
Trevor Martin gave the
Lions a 2-0 edge.
Paul Keating got one
back for Port Elgin early
in the second period

Formal balance also
called symmetrical and
bisymmetrical. Formal
balance should not be
used too extensively
within one room as it
may be quite unin-
teresting. The use of
unmatched tables„ and
lamps makes an . in-
teresting balance
provided the tables and
lamps are in • proper
scale and proportion
with each othor4
Formal balance may also
be achieved by using a

fabric and a smaller
chair covered with a
patterned fabric. The
two chairs must bo
placed at equal distan-

before Madge came back
with his second on an
unassisted effort. Goals
by Keating and Bob Carr
for Port Elgin tied the
score, but only briefly.
Eight seconds after
Carr's goal, Daryl Madge
got his third goal of the
game to stake the Lions
to a 4-3 lead after two
periods.
The Lions controlled
the game in the third
period 'as their consistent
forechecking and taking
the man slowed the
bigger Port Elgin team
down. Paul Brenner
cashed in on a rebound on
a play with John
"Thompson and Daryl
Madge and Nick Trebish
scored the final Goderich
goal, assisted by Todd
Graham, to account for
the rest of the scoring.
Trevor Martin handed
out some solid body
checks to lead a fine
effort by the Lions'
defensive corps. It was
strictly no contest in
Mount Forest. The Lions
got two goals in the first
period, added one in the
second and banged in
seven third period goals
enroute tn, their shutout
goals in the third period
to take a 10-2' victory, over
Durham, a new entry in
the -league this year. Here
Saturday, the Green and
Parent crew out -classed
Port Elgin 16-0. The third
win for the Goderich gang
came Monday night when
they defeated Listowel,
9-5, despite theabsence of
several players from the
lineup. That game was
played in Listowel, and
leaves coach- Bill Frit-
zley's team with an un-
defeated string of four,
games in WOAA "BB"
hockey action.
In Durham, the local
lads were held in check .
for,two periods by the
touh defensive play of
coach Dale Rahn's team
and some outstanding net
minding by Jeff Schutz in'
the Durham goal. .-
Durham helda 2-1 edge at
the :end of two periods on
goals by Ricky Hiltz and
Andy Mueller. Defen-
ceman Don Elliott scored
McDonald had a goal and
an assist each and Larry
Gaynor got the other
Goderich goal. Mark
Rowe and Ken Reid had
assists.
Goalies Steve Gallow
and Brian Shewfelt
shared their second
shutout of the young
season in the game with
Port ]rlgin. The G and P's
put on quite an ,offensive
display, . scoring five
times in the first period,
eight in the second an
three times in the `d
period.
Larry Madge a d Mike
Hodges were the . op goal -
setters with fo,•'r each.
Dan Maillet Yi. d three
goals and thre: assists.
gob Trebish added two
goals and three assists.
Single goals were scored
by Rob McDonald, Jim
Costello and Dave Moore.
Each .of the three had one
assist as did Larry
Gaynor and Mike
Wedlock.
The game in Listowel
saw the Green and
Parent team face their
toughest test yet in
league play. Listowel,
s - arting from a 13-0 loss
to Goderich in their
league opener here two
weeks ago, came out to
play hockey. The two
teams skated through a
penalty -free first period,
each scoring once. Dan
Maillet got the Goderich
goal, assisted by Don
Elliott. John Stone not-
ched the Listowel goal,
Goderich --jumped
ahead with a pair of goals
in ' the second period,
scored by Mike Wedlock
and Jim Costello, with
assists going to Rob
Trebish and Mike
.Hodges. Jeff Dude got
one back for Listowel, but
then Goderich scored two
more before the period
ended. Rob Trebish and
Larry Madge were the
marksmen, assisted by
Rob -McDonald, Mike
Hodges and Rob Trebish.
