Goderich bride to live in Moosone

Harvest decorations of dried fruit, vegetables and
grain adorned St. George's Anglican Church in
Goderich on September 30 at 4:30 p.m. for the Wedding
ceremony of Cheryl Munroe of Goderich and Michael
Charlton of Moosonee, Ontario. Also decorating the
church for the occasion were altar flowers and two
pedestal sprays of flowers in-fatlshades.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon V.
Munroe of Goderich and the groom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Ross G. Charlton of Port Colborne.
The Reverend Robert J. Crocker officiated at the
double ring ceremony. Music was provided by
organist J.B. Herdman and soloist Grant Ellison who
sang Evergreen and Morning Has Broken.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She
wore a white sheer sata-glo polyester gown with
Queen Ann neckline, mandarin collar, empire waist
and cathedral train. The bodice of the gown was
covered in imported French lace and seed pearls. The
sheer bishop sleeves and ruffled cuffs were appliqued
with French lace as was the cathedral train and the
front of the gown. The caplet worn by the bride was
covered in lace matching that of the gown and
decorated with seed pearls. The two tiered mantilla
veil was trimmed with lace.
The bride carried i( he same prayer book as her
nl,other carried on her wedding day. It was decorated
with a single orchid, baby's breath and sonya roses.
Maid- of honor . was ;Shelley Munroe.. of__Gnderi_ch,..
sister of the bride. She were a coral polyester gown
with pleated skirt and shoe string straps. The slightly
dipped neckline was decorated with Belgium lace. The
dress also featured a high necked chiffon cape which
came to a point at the front and at the finger tips.
She carried a spray of coral tipped carnations,
sonya roses and daisies surrounded by leather fern.
Bridesmaids were Debbie MacCuspey of Goderich,
Janet Denomy of Kitchener and Jane Coughlan of
'Stratford, all friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaid
was Vicki Munroe of Goderich, sister of the bride.
They were all dressed identically to the maid of honor
and carried the same bouquets.
Flower girl'was Jennifer Dixon, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Dixon, friends of the bride and groom.
She wore a three tiered gown of white cotton polyester
with coral flower print and decorated with white lace
at the cuffs, the empire waistline and around the
bottom. She carried a miniature bouquet the same as
those of the bridesmaids.
Best man was Michael Concessi of Oakville, friend
of the groom.

Guests were ushered into the church by Dino Orris of Port Colborne, Wally Pierson of Goderich and
Charles (Skip) Ritchie of Tonawanda, New York, all
friends of the groom and Kevin Charlton of Port
Colborne, brother of the groom.
Ring bearer was Zachary Dixon of Goderich, twin
brother oithe flower girl.
All of the groom's attendants wore sandalwood
colored tuxedos and brown moet shirts. The tuxedos
were accented with walnut satin lapels and vests.
Following the wedding ceremony, .a reception was
held at the Sandpiper Inn, Vanastra. Master of
ceremonies was Grant Ellison.
The bride's mother greeted guests wearing a
Grecian style gown of peridot °green polyester with
black patent accessoreis and a corsage of sonya roses
and baby's breath.
The groom's mother chose a yellow gown of
polyester fashioned with a long sleeved jacket with a
mandarin collar. She wore a corsage of orange roses.,
and baby's breath.
For a wedding trip to Eastern and Northern Ontario,
the bride changed to a blue and rust three piece pant
suit of wool and gabardine with a corsage of rust silk
roses, dried baby's breath and white ribbon.
Mr. and Mrs. Charlton will reside in Moosonee,
Ontario.
Prior to the wedding the bride was feted at showers

bride's home and Deb MacCuspey and Janet Denomy
at the home of Miss MacCuspey.
Guests were present at the wedding from Nova
Scotia, Arnprior, Toronto, Huntsville, Barrie, Port
Colborne, Niagara Falls, Bradford, Milton, Waterloo,
Ottawa, Peterborough and North Bay.

The October meeting of
St. Peter's C.W.L. was
held in the Church Hall.
President' Mrs. D.
Murphy chaired the
meeting.
After opening prayers,
members sitting in
groups of four shared a
humorous experience in
their lives and one of each
group shared her ex-
perience -;with. ..all the
others.
After the minutes and
correspondence were
read by secretary, Miss
Eileen O'Brien, the
treasurer's • report was
given by Mrs. W. Hogan.
In the absence of
Father Loebach, Sister
Yvonne gave the
Spiritual reading, and
gave a brief talk on
"Faith":
Everyone introduced
themselves and a com-
mittee was formed to
visit the sick and shut-ins.
Also it was stated that
volunteers were needed
to help with the art and
craft show• at Maitland
Manor and the Bluewater
Centre. Anyone in-
terested in helping out
should contact Mrs.
Murphy.
Final plans for the
Christmas Fair were
made with everything
coming along very well.
The time for the fair is
from 2' p.m. to 5 p.m. on
November 18.
A cross is to be placed
on the Cenotaph on
Armistice Day " by
President Mrs. Murphy
on behalfof the C.W.L.
The meeting adjourned
and the members spent
an enjoyable hour
° making Christmas
centrepieces under the
capable supervision of
Mrs. E. Spain. Coffee and
a dainty lunch were
served by the hostesses,
Mrs. A. Paulin and Mrs.
B. Smith.
