A9E 7 Elsa Haydon John Doherty Brian Knights Seven in contest for six seats BY JEFF SEDDON When the dust settled on the nomination board at the town hall Tuesday afternoon Goderich voters were left with seven can- didates to select for six councillor seats at the council table. Many of the candidates were a bit disappointed with the small number of hopefuls .� "15e�au"s`e 'onIy one of tfie.. carid dates will -be a loser when the votes are counted November 13. Three incumbent are seeking re-election to the council table and .four newcomers hope to attract the voters' attention. Elsa Haydon has been at the council table six years and is seeking another term, Stan Profit has also been at council six years and if he is successful will extend that to eight years, and John Doherty, with only one term of office under his belt, is seeking a second two year stint. Brian Knights, Jim Searls, Roy Breckenridge and James O.
