Seven in contest for six seats
BY JEFF SEDDON
When the dust settled on the nomination
board at the town hall Tuesday afternoon
Goderich voters were left with seven can-

council table. Many of the candidates were a bit

Three incumbent are seeking re-election to
the council table and .four newcomers hope to
attract the voters' attention. Elsa Haydon has
been at the council table six years and is
seeking another term, Stan Profit has also been
at council six years and if he is successful will
extend that to eight years, and John Doherty,
with only one term of office under his belt, is
seeking a second two year stint.
Brian Knights, Jim Searls, Roy Breckenridge
and James O. Magee are the_ _newcomers._
