Jr. Vikings hit
season high
BY TD
The GDCI junior girls
basketball team defeated
Seaforth 50-40 in Huron
Perth Conference play
Last Thursday in
Seaforth.
Coach John Geiger's
Vikings had problems
adjusting to the small
court in the first half in
Seaforth and as a result
ran into foul trouble.
Starter Sonja LaRaine,
who wound up with 10
points, had four fouls in
the first half and was
replaced in the third •
quarter by Robin
MacDonald. Lapaine
cane back in in the final
quarter and played well
without picking up any
fouls. MacDonald also
saw action in the fourth
quarter when she filled in
for Theresa Osborn when
Osborn fouled out.
Tracy Jewell was the
Vikings top scorer with 18
points, followed by Marg
Conlon with 12 and
Lapaine with 10. Sharon
Burbine, who had six
points, and Marg Conlon
did a fine job of
organizing the Viking
offence which produced a
season's high output`of 50
points. Barb Conlon and
Theresa Osborn each had
two points for the win-
ners.
Kay Larone was
Seaforth's top scorer with
21 points. -
The junior Vikings
record now stands at
three wins and one loss.
They played Tuesday
here against St. Marys
and travel today to
Palmerston to play
Norwell. The Vikings
next home game is here
next Tuesday against
Mitchell.
HERE'S WHAT YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT THE
TIDY CAR
PRESERV-A-SHINE PROCESS
Tidy. Car's Presery-A-Shine formula is not a wax.ltjS an exclusive formulation which
provides a protective, glass -like shine which seals out the harmful effects of
oxidation, salt, snow, sun -fading etc. Presery-A-Shine is actually buffed right into the
treated surfaces to form a protective shield against the elements which would have
inevitably destroyed that show -room shine. This 'buffed -in' process is made possible
and economical due to the exclusive equipment used by Tidy Car Independent
Operators which mechanically duplicates the action of the human hand, except about
254 times faster than the human hand can work. The sli§ht amount of heat generated
by the equipment literally 'bonds' the Presery-A-Shine to the treated surfaces in a
manner not possible without this Itnique equipment.
Presery-A-Shine will keep your new tar looking new and can even regain much of the
original lustre when applied to older vehicles.
Naturally, because of the inevitable build-up of industrial pollutants; chemical and
detergent build-up from car washes, road grime, etc., it will be necessary to have
your local Tidy Car Independent Operator perform a periodic Pieserv-A-Shine
Resealant Treatment at least once a year in order to remove this build-up and in order
to reprotect all treated areas. Neither Tidy Car Inc. nor its Independent Operators
would insult your intelligence by telling you -that any type of process could retain a
lustrous shine underneath the dulling effects of deposits from the aforementioned
build-up. This annual resealant treatinentr is necessary in order to remove these
natural build-ups. Your Tidy Car Independent Operator will perform the necessary
cleaning and resealant simply for the price of his service charge or service call fee.
Be sure to contact your Tidy Car Independent Operator prior to the anniversary date
of the original Preserv-A-Shine,Treatment each year or as recommended by your
Operator.
In the event you move to another city or town, you can contact another Tidy Car
Independent Operator by either checking the Yellow Pages, asking the local in-
forniation telephone operator for a listing for a Tidy Car Independent Operator in the
area, or by contacting Tidy Car Inc. at the head office for the name and phone number
of the nearest Tidy Car Independent Operator.
In order to retain ;the appearance and trade-in value of your vehicle, it is recom-
mended that you ask your Tidy Car Independent Operator to periodically maintain
you vinyl roof and / or provide you with a complete interior shampoo and detailed
interior clean-up. You may also have your fabric interior and carpeting treated with
Tidy Car's Upholstery Guard Treatment which protects against food, liquid, child,
arid pet stains for several months.
REMEMBER—Tidy Car Independent Operators from coast to coast can maintain the
appearance of your vehicle almost anywhere it is parked, days, evenings, or
weekends, professionally and economically at your convenience.
