Goderich Airport by the Western Foundry Company Ltd: 's of Wingham. The company would like to erect a hangar capable of housing two to three aircraft. The building would be ap- proximately 50 feet by 60 feet and`would include an office and washroom facilities. The company' has suggested that an ideal location for the hangar would be on the old weather station site, which is close to the B and B Aircraft Services building. The company presently stores aircraft outside but with increasing use of the aircraft are seeking an all-weather airport with an. instrument ap- proach. In the letter to council a spokesnian said the company would like to discuss leasingand timing arrangements in Teen Tones prepare for active season BY BARB JONES On the weekend of September . 15, The Goderich Teen Tones travelled north to Camp Ambassador near Owen Sound. The purpose„, 'of attending the camp was to learn new music and to have some ftin. The singing group worked on several new musical pieces entitled, "You Light Up My Life", "Jericho", "Lord, Now Let Thy Servants Depart in 'Thy Peace", "A Tune A Day", "Tomorrow", "Bach -A -Rock" and "Psalms of Praise". In their "leisure -"time, the group enjoyed horse back riding, roller skating and many other activities. They also made new friends from other church groups. While at camp, the` Holmesvffle By Blanche Deeves The third meeting of the Holmesville 1, 4-H was held at the home • of Sheryl Thompson. The roll call was answered "what is my favourite breakfast, 2nd the members selected the name ""Cuisine Cookers" for their club. From the members pamphlet, they read "a carried lunch, add life to your lunch and lunch at home." Members picked two teams with Bev Mathers and Debbie Harrison as leaders. Bev's team made a thin white sauce, while Debbie's team made a med ium white sauce. The sauces wez'1a` mixed together and made a potato cheese chowder which was enjoyed by all 4-H. Perdonals We are sorry to hear that Mrs. Maaskant is a patient in a London Hospital, and tb John Wyatt, who is also in hospital in London, a speedy recovery is wished by all. We are also sorry to report Mr. Garnet Diehl has a broken arm. Mr. and Mrs. Davies of West Lorne were back to attend the anniversary ,,service at Holmesville United Church. The Davies were former store keepers in Holmesville. Visitors on the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Potter were Mr. and Mrs. Ken Ashton, Robert and Donald of London, and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Potter and daughter Heather of Listowel. Misses Carolyn Porter and Mary Ellen Sturdy have returned from a very enjoyable trip to Mission, British Columbia to visit with Carolyri's sister Nancy Porter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willilam Porter. Mrs. Berniece Mcllwain, Mrs. Millie Dempsey and Mrs. Alice Porter attended the Huron County Rally of Women's Institute held in the Londesboro Hall October 2nd. Mr. and Mrs. Don Huff and Brad, ,the go cart driver were off to Picton a week ago with Brad coming in second. ' group also electeda new executive which includes Debbie Shaddick as president, Barb Jones as secretary, Margie Reynolds as, first soprano representative, Andrea Jackson as second soprano representative and Elizabeth McMillan as alto representative. This year the Goderich Teen Tones have 29 members which include 11 new ones. The leader is Mrs. Irla Stewart and members include Kelly Strickland, Debbie Brennan, Jennifer Gowanlock, Karen Dam, Margie Reynolds, Lori • Feagan, Karen Dechert, Tracy Hirst, Diane Claus, Elfse Lindsay, Cindy Smith, Ann Duncan, Liz Bundy, Susan Main; Fay' Alexander, Sandy Lane, Mary Luanne Clare, Elizabeth Montgomery, Andrea Jackson, Debbie Shaddick, Julie Carruthers, Kim Williams, Cheryl Main, Patti Rean, Barb Jones, Valerie , Montgomery;, Lod Gautcher, Jana Dam and Nancy Hearn. The Teen Tones have already had some singing engagements and are preparing for still more. They will sing at the UCW Variety Show at North Street United Church on October 11,. They will travel to Lucknow on November . 4 with the Goderich Laketown Band to perform there. They will sing at the Auburn church anniversary service on October 15 and the Londest,Y'o church anniversary service on October 22.
