Mrs. Irvine Tebbutt led in prayer and Mrs. Don Harris.read the scripture. Readings were given by -Mr's: JCthn.Grigg-and-Mrs: Oestreicher. Mrs. Don Harris read a poem, "my task". The roll call was answered with "a church you visited this year". Mrs. Edward Grigg, Clinton gave an interesting ac- count of her visit to Alma College. The. Holmesville families are invited to 'visit the -nianse on' Sun- day September 17 and if unable to come that day, come to the manse on October 1. Thirteen dozen cookies were promised for the plowing match in Wingham. The members plan to staff the Hospital Cart each Friday in October, and the Fall Rally will be held in Trinity Church, Ashfield on October 3. Our annual bazaar date is November 8 in the White Carnation. A bale to be packed this fall - leave your articles in the ehurch basement. Goderich Township WI The Goderich Township Women's Institute met in Holmesville Public School on Monday evening September 11 With: the -president; Mrs: Hazel McCreath in the chats. The meeting opened in usual form and the -business discussed. An invitation to the Huronview Tea , and Bazaar on Wednesday, October 11 was read, also an invitation to attend the Clinton Women's Institute on October 26. Mrs. Helen Lindsay and°Mrs.. Millie Dempsey were chosen delegates to attend the Women's Institute Rally to be held in Londesboro Hall on October 2. Mrs. Gonnie requestsmembers to remove Kraft Miracle Whip salad dressing and mayonnaise labels and place them in boxes placed in grocery stores. Kraft pays for these. The Huron County Homemakers need . the funds to carry on their* work in the County. Mrs. Gibson requested Institute members to attend 'the Huronview Auxiliary and would like new members. The area convention is , to be held November 1 and 2 at the Banqueter in London, and the variety show is planned for October 26. Plans were duscussed for the Plowing Match at 'Wingham, and the next meeting . is October 9.
