St. Joseph's Church in Kingsbridge was decorated
with blue gladioli and white daisies September 15 for
the early evening wedding at which Paul Denis Dalton
took Joni Christine Smith as his bride.
The Rev. Ed Dentinger officiated for the double -ring
ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
James L. Smith, Goderich, and the groom is the son of
Mrs. Clarice Dalton, Kingsbridge, and the late Mark
Dalton.
Wedding music was supplied by Marianne and
Eugene Frayne who sang Ave Marie, I Believe,
Evergreen and Follow Me, with Nancy Park at the
organ.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She
wore a flowing gown of matte silk jersey with watteau
back and, sweep train, featuring a high collar and yoke
of seed pearls and lace. Her veil was of French illusion
silk, held in place by a headpiece of pearls and guipure
lace.
Matron of hondr was Lori Hildebrand, sister of the
bride, Seaforth. Bridesmaids were Denise Dalton,
sister of the groom, Mary Ellen Glazier and Marianne
Frayne, all of Kingsbridge. They were gowned:alike in
star -fire blue polyester gowns featuring high .collars
and yokes of Victorian 'vanilla lace. They carried
nosegays of •-white-daisies, blue tinted 1.mInigiture.
carnations aiinTar-fife.
Groomsman was Dap Boel. Ushers were Joe Van
Rooy, Lawrence Hogan and Shawn Dalton, brother of
the groom.
The wedding reception was at Saltford Valley Hall.
The bride's mother wore a pink polyester gown
featuring an attached crystal -pleated cape falling
from the neckline. The groom's mother selected a teal
blue dress with gathered scoop neckline and gathered
waist and tie. o
For travelling to Virginia, the 'bride changed to a
pink polyester dress with pleated skirt, long sleeves
and high collar.
Mr. and Mrs. Dalton are living in Lucknow.
Prior to her wedding the bride was honored at a
plasticware Shower given by Mary Ellen Glazier and.a
community shower in Kingsbridge with Betty and
Marianne Frayne as hostesses.

hall will be renovate
The Auburn Hall Board
met last Tuesday evening
with James Glousher in
the chair. The minutes
were read by the
secretary Mrs. Donald
Haines. The financial'
report showed that the
hall has been rented
several times this
summer. Plans were
started to make
renovations to the hall
and a public meeting is
set for October 10 at 7:30
p.m. to discuss plans and
the cost estimates.
UCW meet
Unit II of Knox United
Church Women met with
their leader, Mrs. Jack
Armstrong. The minutes
were read by the
secretary Mrs. Beth
_Lansing.
Mrs. Armstrong
thanked those who
assisted at the Lloyd
Walden wedding an-
niversary, at the bus trip
to Oshawa and at the
summer Bible School.
Plans were made to send
cookies to the United
Church tent at the
Plowing Match and also
to make a quilt.
The next meeting will
be .charged by Mrs. Bob
Worsell, Mrs. Bill Empey
and Mrs. Ross Dobie;
Unit I and II joined in a
meeting last Monday
evening with Mrs.
Stanley Ball presiding.
She opened the meeting
with a reading and the
hymn with Mrs. Tom
. Cunningham. as pianist.
Rev. Earl St. Jean led in
prayer.
Mrs. Maurice .Bean
introduced the guest
speaker, Daryl Ball,
assistant agricultural
representative of Brant
County. He told about his
trip to Australia and New
Zealand last winter and
showed interesting slides
of the life in .those
countries. He was
thanked by Mrs. Donald
Haines.

Missionary Society met
for its September
meeting at the home of
Mrs. Frances Clark. The
president Mrs. Wilfred
Sanderson gave the call
to worship followed by
the reading of the hymn:

welcomed the members
and guests. The minutes
were read by secretary
