I was very upset by the
death of a fine young man
who was hit and killed on
The Square just recently.
It is pretty. scary any
day of the week, crossing
from one side of The
Square to the other, but
worse if you have these
goofs who think it is just
GREAT to dwaddle-two
or, three cars abreast,
talking from one car to
another.
I have often seen three
and sometimes four cars
together blocking, traffic -
and just blow your horn
h About
and see the insults you
get. Luckily you can't
always hear what they
say.
People are getting
pretty fed up. ,Where is
only one thing we can do
about it -turn in licence
numbers and descrip-
tions to- the police.
Enough of these and the
offenders could lose their
licenses and it would be
their own fault for being
so stupid.
Many years ago driving
round and round The
Square with the 'horse and
buggy was the THING to
do on Saturday nights. No
one was going anywhere -
so it was not a pain in the
neck to others. But now -
there is no need for it,
Let these characters go
out in the country and
ride from one concession
to the other in a bigger
square. I'll bet they will
get complaints even out
there.
The police can't be
everywhere -or we would
be screaming about the
number of police on the
payroll. So it is up to the
citizens of Goderich to
help put a stop to these
nuisances.
They claim there is
nothing to do ! ! ! As
Joanne Walters saidit so
well in Tid Bits 'last -week -
"Let the complainers,
i 'reffid`"e'Sfs"
open -there's lots of ex-
cellent activities in this
town which need your
support -morally and
financially. You have no
right to complain."
