The presentation of the trophy was made to the captain of the team, Eileen Wilson and Coach Jon Zydbel by Michael Durnin, son of Mike and Betty Lou Dalton, riding Ho -Down -Sun. During the evening, members of the Kintail Kuties team voted on the most valuable and the most improved player of their team. Trophies were presented to Eileen Wilson, the Most Valuable Player and to Marian MacLennan, the Most Improved Player. Beryl McDonald had already received the trophy for the best sport or congenial player. Following the supper and presentations, members of the team enjoyed a musical program provided by members of the ..team With a• 1 joining in singsongs. Special guests invited other than coaches, team members and their husbands were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Vassella, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Farrish and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Courtney. SOCIAL NEWS Congratulations to Peter and Louise (Dalton) Martin on -the birth of a baby_girl in St. Joseph's Hospital, London on• Friday, August 18, a wee gran- ddaughter for Mrs. Blaise Martin and for Mrs. Mark Dalton. Mr. and Mrs. Michael Dalton and family en- joyed a week's vacation in Thunder 'Bay recently visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Steve Corkum, Rob and Trish. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dwyer, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Palmer and son Jim of Dundas, Ontario are camping at Point Farms Provincial Park and visiting on Saturday with relatives and friends in this area. Mrs. Dwyer is the former Hilda Austin daughter of the late Mr. and Ars. Philip Austin, storekeepers at the Kingsbridge store. Members of the parishes of Kingsbridge, Lucknow, St. Augustine and Goderich enjoyed a picnic sponsored by the Knights of Columbus held at Huron Haven Trailer Park; two miles north of Goderich on Sunday afternoon, August 27 beginning at 2 p.m. There, were games for the young and the old. A community shower is being planned for Miss Joni Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Smith, Goderich and will be held in St. Joseph's Parish Hall at Kingsbridge on Wednesday, August 30 at 8 p.m. Her marriage to Paulton, son of Mrs. Mark Dalton and the late Mark Dalton, will take place at Kingsbridge on Friday, September 15. Several from Kingsbridge were among' the 1,200. honored guests at the installation of John Michael Sherlock as the ninth Roman Catholic Bishop of London on Monday, August 21 at St. Peter's Basilica, London. Mr. Jim O'Neill is a patientin the Alexandra Marine and General 'Hospital, Goderich. His many friends wish him a spee3recovery. Mr. Fred Vassella who was recently hospitalized in London and Wingham hospitals was able to return to his home: Mr. and Mrs. Joe Judge, Karen, Tim . and Kelley returned to their home in Jackson, Michigan on Friday, August 25 after spending holidays with his uncle, Teen Tones look for new members On Tuesday, Sep- tember 12 at 7 p.m. in North Street United Church parlour, the Goderich Teen Tones will begin their regular weekly rehearsals. An interesting fall, schedule has been arranged: September 15 to 17 - Music weekend at Camp Ambassador; October 11 - participation in a variety show at North Street U.C.; October 15 at 11 a,m. - guest choir at Auburn' united Church anniversary service; October 22 at 8 p.m. - guest choir at Londesboro United ' Church an- niversary service; (and November to December - engagements under consideration. ' Next week the choir will welcome six new members, bringing the total membership to 25: More girls, especially those interestedin singing alto, would be welcome. To be eligible, girls must be 13 -years old or over, like to sing, and be prepared to attend weekly rehearsals and performance com- mitments. Miss Antoinette Dalton of Royal Oak, Michigan visited during the week with her brothers Ray and Dennis Dalton and members of the Dalton families.
