Mrs. Mary Bere in-
troduced Annette around
the group and escorted
her to a chair at the front.
Miss Brenda Chisholm,
Miss Dorothy Culbert and
Mrs. Kathie Stanbury sat
up with the bride.
The address was read
by Kathie Stanbury and
gifts were carried in by
Laurie and Linda Hayden
and Lisa Sillib. Annette
thanked those present
graciously and invited
them to visit her in
Goderich after her
wedding.

Misses Melody and
Martha King who sang to
Melody's guitar.
Lunch was served and
a social time enjoyed.'

Wayne Brooks
dies of injury
Wayne Roger Brooks, 18, of Goderich died on
Thursday, August 24 in University Hospital,
London from injuries sustained after being
struck by a car on The Square in Goderich on
August 19.
He was born in Kitchener on December 21,
1959 to Lucille (Cuthbertson) and Brandon
Brooks. He lived in Waterlot on Bridgeport
Road and then Noecker Street before moving to
Goderich ten years ago.
He attended Brighton School in 'Waterloo,
Victoria Public School in Goderich -and the
Goderich District Collegiate Institute.
He was employed at -South End Auto Body in
Goderich.
He is survived by his parents; two sisters,
Mrs. Allan (Heather) Stackhouse of Scar-
borough and Tammy at home; one brother,
Tim at home; his paternal grandmother, Mrs.
Edna Brooks of Waterloo and one nephew,
Jeffery Stackhouse of Scarborough.
A funeral service was held aftheMcdalliim
Funeral Home in Goderich on Monday, August
28 at 2:30 p.m. The Reverend Ronald C.
McCallum officiated.
• Interment was in the Maitland Cemetery,
Goderich.
Pallbearers were Michael Cuthbertson, Lee
Cuthbertson, Bill Melick, Dave Johnston, Jim
Melick and Don Melick.

Anne Robertson, who
sang You Light Up My
Life, Tomorrow and What
I Did For Love, was also
featured.Anne may be
remembered• for her
excellent performance as
Eliza Doolittle in the high
school's production of My
Fair Lady last year.
Coleen Maguire,
Angela McDonald and
Andy Markson -eac-h
accompanying them-
selves on guitar sang
several selections in-
cluding songs which they
had written both words
and music to themselves.
Other singers featured
were Clarence Knight,
Brian Markson and
Jennifer Black. The
songs were varied to
provide pleasure for
music lovers of all types -
folk, country, classics
and popular tunes.
Again, it was a pity that
not more people turned
out to see the talent
displayed by these fine
performers. Arie Van der
Ende, emcee 'for the
evening said while 'the
audience was a small
one, it was also a good
one -- appreciative and
also involved tapping
their toes and singing_
along to some of, the
numbers.
The GLT group will be
busy rehearsing for their
winter season next. All
summer long they
presented one -act plays
in the jail yard and hope
to be able to continue this
