Memorial service w•1i:atte
One could easily see on
entering Colborne
Cemetery on Sunday that
people do remember
their loved ones gone
before, for flowers were
here and there, yes
everywhere you looked
there were flowers at the
graves and people
coming and going, so that
by 2 p.m. a very en-
couraging crowd had
gathered for the
Memorial Service, which
is a yearly occasion.
Reeve Doug McNeil
acted as chairman,
opening the service by
welcoming all present
andintroducing the
McMillan family who
furnished the appropriate
music and the Reverend
Robert J. Crocker, who
delivered a timely
message with much food
for thought.
After the service, many
`paused- to -chat with.
friends and renew old
acquaintances and it was
not uncommon to hear
people remark that they
thought this was a
touching custom they
hoped would long be
continued.
Let us take time to
pause and remember.
