MARGARET FOSTER Mrs. Margaret argaret Foster -. _._._. of. -_ uronVievir _ ... . �laiq-ne• General Hospital on Sunday, July 23 at the age of 94. She was born in Blyth on August 21, 1883 . to Margaret (Smith) and John Nivins. Prior to her marriage, she lived in both Blyth and Dungannon and attended school in Dungannon. She married John James Foster inlyth on December 7; 190-4. Following her mdhriage, she lived in Ashfield Township until 1945 at which time she moved to Goderich where she lived until moving to Huron - view in 1973. She was a member of St. George's Anglican Church. She was predeceased by her husband on March • 10, 1956. She ' was also predeceased by one son, Art auction at Playhouse .The, second annual International Art Auction plans are being finalized for the August 6 event at Huron Country Playhouse in Grand Bend. The List of leading artists, both international and Canadian include. Bartram, Calder, Chagall, Dali, Vandoren, Miro, Henry ' Moore, Picasso; Harold Town, and Jackson, to name a few. Patrons from last year's auction, which was' very successful, will be pleased to know that Mrs Sharon Thedbold, noted art lecturer, author, and curator will be returning this year as auctioneer. The collection of over 100 pieces includes varied - media, and compares favourably with last year's which was valued between $35,000 and $40,000. Base prices range from $50 to $2,000 and provide an excellent opportunity for the ex- perienced collector' as well as the novice, to purchase an original work of art. The body of the late Mrs. Foster rested at Stiles Funeral Home with a funeral service being held at St. George's Anglican Church on Tuesday, July 25 at 2 p.m. The Reverend Robert J. Crocker officiated. Interment was in Dungannon Cemetery. It was attended by family members from Royal Oak, Warren, Pleasant Ridge, Mt. • Clemens and Sterling of Maitland Cemetery at of Goderich. CLEMENTS (Karen) Kirk of Mrs. Dora Marion Goderich; two sisters, Clements .of, 63 Suncoast ...Mrs. Richard (Ruby) Drive, Apartment 23 in Cousins and Mrs. Ernest Goderich died in (Lilly) Armstrong both of Alexandra Marine and Goderich; two brothers, General Hospital on George Hutchins of Tuesday, July 18 after a Goderich and Charles of lengthy illness at -the age" Strathroy; and seven of 65. grandchildren. She was born in Holmesvilie on June 30, 1913 to Alice (Robb) and Harry Hutchins. She lived in Holmesvilie until moving to Toronto in 1938. She moved to Goderich in 1972. She was a member of Bethel Pentecostal Tabernacle. She married Philip Thomas Clements in Toronto. He survives. Also surviving are four sons, Alvin of She was predeceased by two sisters, Mrs. Zephas (Laving) Young and Mrs. Joseph (Verna)'. Moore; and two brothers, John and Earl. The body of the late Mrs. Clements rested at Stiles Funeral Home. A funeral service was held at Bethel Pentecostal Tabernacle on Thursday, July 20 at 2 p.m. The Reverend Fred Day officiated. Interment was in the WS • • ,, Sonemi" w Heights, Michigan, Acton, Wellesley, Walkerton, Walton, Egmondville, Wallaceburg, Varna and Goderich. A smorgasbord meal was enjoyed at noon and in the evening. Old family photos were cm display during the afternoon. Among these was one of Angus and Frances Murray who had emigrated fr..om- Stonehaven, Scotland and settled on Lot 19, Goshen Line,Stanley Township around 1850. A prize was given to the oldest person present, Mrs. Geo. Reid of Varna; the youngest, Carrie Clark of Mt. Clemens; and the family coming the farthest, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Reid .and family of Pleasant' Ridge. Michigan. The young'people spent the afternoon playing ball andw' s Imm' Ing .
