Blyth Summer Festival
telephoned the Signal-
- -Star- -office- --this---week-
asking that -we inform all
our readers that the new
air conditioning system
has -finally -been installed.--
-
Plays can now be enjoyed
in the Blyth Memorial
Hall in comfort no matter
what the weather is like
outside.
The air conditioning
system, which was
purchased this year with
the help of a Wintario
grant, was to have been
in operation when the
Festiyal opened early in
July but problems were
encountered when trying
to install it.
The next( play, The
School Show, opens
Tuesday, August'l_at 8:30
p.m. It is, about the Huron
County Secondary School
teachers' strike of this
year. It was written by
Ted Johns who also plays
all the characters. 'Some
may remember him from
He Won't Come in from
the Barn performed at
Blyth'Iast year.

debt counselling agencies
across Ontario, Keith C.
Norton, Minister of
Community and Social
Services announced
recently.
The non-profit coun-
selling agencies counsel
persons with financiart
problems and act as
mediators in arranging
orderly payment of debts
between the person who
is seriously in debt and
his or her creditors. The
counselling seryice
assists people through
teaching better money
management,, the
arrangement for con-
sumer debt repayment
programs and the
promotion of consumer
credit education.

summer fruits, when they
are available and how to
care for them. It also
contains useful in-
formation about the
different fruits. For
example, did you- know
thatunlike other fruits,
pears ripen from the
inside out.
One helpful hint
describes an easy way to
peel plums and peaches.
Simply submerge in
boiling water for 30
seconds, remove and
immediately dip in cold
water. Slip off the skins.
The pamphlet also has
a selection of delicious
recipe suggestions using

meeting in the Orange
Hall Clinton Tuesday
evening July 18. A pot-
luck supper was enjoyed
by members and their

with the setting of tables
and pouring of coffee.
Miss Rachel Johnson
rounded out the evening
with a program of games
