raises money
Close to 70 members of
the Goderich Swim Team
participated in a two-day
swim-a-thon at Judith
Gooderham Pool this
week to raise money for
swim meet expenses this
year.
The swim team
members were aiming at
swimming 50 lengths
Monday and Tuesday to
complete a 100 length
course. Each swimmer
gathered pledges per
length and the money
raised is to help defray
travelling and award
expenses for meets in the
Lake Huron Zone area 0.

James was enthusiastic
about the interest on the
team this year since the

'the team has been in its
"brief history.

range in age from 7 to 20
and will compete in
meets for the next seven
Saturdays with other
teams in the Lake Huron
Zone. Other zone

the meets are Exeter, St.

pete in individual events
as well as relay in four
--strokes, the front crawl,
back crawl, butterfly and
breaststroke.

will be held in Goderich
-July 29 and for the first
time Goderich will host
