Skinn of -MaeGillivray Limited. By-law number 3,1978, being a by-law for the purpose of levying and collecting rates for the different purposes for the Township of East Wawanosh for the year 1978, was given a first, second and thirdreading- and finallypassed. The budget estimates for the year 1978 will require the following rates (with- the 1977 mill rates in brackets): County Business and Commercial - 24.523 mills (25.794), Farm and Residential - 20.845 mills (21.925); Township - Business and Com- mercial 40.78.4 mills (39.330), Farm and Residential - 34.666 mills (33.187); Secondary Schools - Business and Commercial - 34.937 mills (31.885), Farm and Residential - 31.443 mills (28.696); Public Schools - Business and - COm- mercial - 40.051 mills (37.991), Farm and Residential - 36.046 mills (34.192); Separate School - Farm and Residential - 37.070 mills (35.585); Police Village of Man- chester (Auburn) - Bu„pilness and Com- mercial 23.775, mills (25.000) plu,s 17.009 mills, —G-ener a 1- w nshipi F a rm- "and -Residential - 20.209 mills (21.250 plus 14.457 mills General Township. • Public School sup- porters: have an overall increase of five ming with the exception of Auburn - and Separate School supporters have an overall incl ease of 4.631 mills. For the last 30 years, he had worked for Great Lakes Paper Company and upon his retirement in April of this year., he was a foreman in the Kraft Electrical Department of the same company. and seven grandchildren. A funeral service was held on Tuesday., July 4 at Jenkens Funeral Home, Thunder Bay. It was conducted by the Reader of the Second Church of Christ Scientist assisted by the, Reverend Peter Walter of Hamilton. The Atomic Energy Control Board (AECB) licenses and regulates the sale of heavy water and has predicted that there will be a surplus of heavy water. "We don't have a surplus of heavy. water now. As a matterf fact, there is sliqta PP " Dave Bate, manager of engineering at heavy water plants B and D said Thursday at a press conference. "Nobody is going without any heavy water, it's just that we have none to spare at the pre.sent," he said. "It takes 6,00 metric tons to fill one unirat-a generating station with -heavy water. Heavy water plant A at BNPD produces 6Q0 metric ton's' of heavy water a year," Mr. Bate said. According to Don W hite , BNPD spokesman; some heavy water for unit four, which is scheduled to become critical this December, is still needed.
