Huron Men's Chapel AUBURN Church need evangelist The 63rd Convention of The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, Ontario District, agreed Saturday in session at Wilfrid Laurier University to give precedence to the need for a full-time evangelism worker in the province. Specifically', the Convention asked that the District Board of directors find the ways and means to supply a field man for evangelism in Ontario. The Reverend Ken Zorn of Kitchener, chairman of the District's board of evangleism, called this a "ground swell of the laymen". "I believe this is the greatest development within the Ontario District in the last 10 years," Zorn said later. "The greatest need for our congregations is really to reach out to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to others." The Rev. Konstantine Hahn, London, said he felt the Convention had asked that the acquisition of a full-time or part-time evangelism man for the District ' was given priority over certain other • items in District's $1,047,000 workload. "Many of our congregations have been asking for help," said Hahn who added the evangelists board members just do nothave the time with their in- dividual congregational workload to give the people the kind of direction and training they need to carry out the evangleism work in their own parishes. He called the decision for an evangelism field worker "an invaluable thing." District's workload was increased more than $50,000 at the Convention but there was no specific item in it for hiring an evangelism field man. The Convention did agree, though, that a field man for evangelism should take precedence over two new missions planned by the Ontario District, one at Doon near SUPERIOR MEMORIALS 41 ESTABLISHED OVER 50 YEARS Goderich Area Representative ROBERT McCALLUM 11 Cambria Road Goderich 524-7345 Clinton-Seaforth Area Representative MICHAEL FALCONER 153 High Street Clinton 482-9441 HOLINESS BIBLE MISSIONARY CHURCH Sunday school 9:50 a.m. Classes for all ages Worship Service 11:00 a.m. Prayer 6:30-7:00 p.m. Evangelistic Service'700 p.m. Wednesday Night Prayer and Praise Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God Matthew 5:8 4 { Huron St. & Walnut Si. { G.
