THOMAS AS McelILLAN IS CHOSEN
LIBERAL CANDIDATE
On Tuesday at the Liberal Ccutven-
tien in Hensel]. ;Thomas elcMellan was
chosen to contest South Huron in
the approachieg electioJJi to the
House of Commons. Mr. McMillan
was th defeated candidate against
the Union. Government in 1917.

CHILD FATALLY INJURED
What proved to be a fatal acci-
dent happened. on Sunday morning
to the Tittle three-year-old son of
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Decher, of the
Zurich Road, east. Mr. Decher was
in the act of cleaning out his horse
stable with the fork and while
throwing out the last:fork full, the
little fellow ran directly in front of
the fork, and Mr. Decher not seeing
him until too late. One prong of the
fork penetrated the right temple of
his head for quite; a depth. The lit-
tle fellow was rushed to a London
hospital where Dr. Hadley Williams
operated and done all he oould to
save his life, as slight hopes were
entertained for his recovery. He died
on Tuesday night and the funeral
took place on Friday of last week,
