Tinney says that "it would be
a nice way of finishing up my
career.'
When asked if this implied
that Tinney was considering a
withdrawal from public life
sometime in the near future,
the reeve replied that it's up
to the voters of the township
to determine his future.
"I'd like to see the county
continue to show the
way....Huron County has
always been a leader,"
Tinney stated.
He emphasized that power
at the local level of govern-
ment should be maintained.
A close race for the highest
post in Huron is predicted bey
Tinhey with himself, Gerry
Ginn, reeve of Goderich
township and Bob Lyons of
West Wawanosh township
involved in the contest.
Tinney stated that in his
travels around the county he
has been well received with
the "hospitality being
terrific."
