Goderich has a chance to
host one of Europe's finest
university choirs , nt‘xt
summer..
From Ede University in
The Netherlands, 86 Dutch
people in this student choir
will fly into Toronto June 23.
1978, and first homestays are
arranged in Guelph.
Carl H. Zwinck, of Ann
Arbor, Mich., who handles
ithese student exchange tours,
reports he has written
Goderich Mayor Delbert
Shew felt on the possibility of
Goderich hosting the group
before they visit sister city
Bay City, Mich., across Lake
Huron.
He explains, "The group
will go directly by charter bus
from Toronto Airport to
Guelph for several nights in
homes. If any organization in
Goderich could provide
homestays for one or more
nights, as you wish, they
could move from Guelph to
Goderich before they live in
Michigan homes. They
perform free, even when you
collect money from - the
audience, in exchange for
food and beds provided by
host families, so this could be
a fund-raising project. You
keep any concert income.
Your Rotary, Lions, Jaycees,
churches. women's clubs.
etc., might 'oe interested in
this project. The group will be
in Ontario, Michigan, Indiana
and other U.S. states before
flying back to The
Netherlands from Toronto
July 19th."
For further information,
Zwinck can be reached at
P.O. Box 7484, Ann Arbor.
