Action Committee on Wednesday stated that the
committee would recommend to town council
that Goderich enter into an agreement with the
county regarding resident's rules for senior
citizen apartments...
All members voted in favor of the motion
except for Don Wheeler who voted against it.
. Housing Action committee member Gerry
Ginn said it felt that the advantage of the county-
wide system was that senior citizens' ac-
commodations would be everybody's respon-
sibility and not just one municipality's.
County planner and chairman of the Housing
Action committee Roman Dzus told the other
committee members too that the province is
likely to be more favorable to Goderich's request
for 75 additional senior citizens' units if it were
part of a county -wide system.
In other business, the Housing Action Com-
mittee decided to make a budget request of
$3,300 for 1978 including $1,500 for public
relations and conferences; $1,200 for
honorariums; $300 for secretarial work; $200 for

general expenses and $100 for advertising and
sundry.
The 1978 budget is down $400 from last year.
The town will be asked to pay 80 per cent or
$2,640 and Goderich and Colborne townships,
which are represented on the board will be isked
to pay $330 each.
Chairman Dzus said the committee agreed to
cut its budget by nearly 11 per cent by reducing
the advertising portion by $400. He said he didn't
feel the loss would affect the committee's work
next year.
