WOAA Schedule for the
Lions. They have won ten and
lost two of their 12 league
games.
The Lions meet PortElgin
here tonight (Thursday) in
their last game before the
Christmas break. Game time
is 8 p.m. Tomorrow the Lions
will play an exhibition game
in Blyth and on Boxing Day
they will be competing in the
Kincardine Winter Games
Tournament. They meet
Walkerton in the first game of
the tournament. Other teams
taking part in the Kincardine
tourney include Owen Sound,
Hanover, Durham, Wingham,
Sarnia Township and the host
Kincardine team.

Little Bowl had their lead
cut drastically as they failed
to earn a single point in men's
Monday Night Bowling
League action.
The resurgent Huromic
Meftl squad nailed the league
leaders for seven points to
tighten the league standings.
The win boosted the Metal
men to 52 points for the
season, five behind Little
Bowl with 57,
Rick McLean, bowled an
incredible 321 for Huromic,
considering the handicap
most bowlers were playing
under, and a 684 triple. Jim
McWhinney led Little Bowl
with a 270 single and 721
triple.
The Hopefuls jumped into
second spot with a five -point
night over Augies Doggies.
Lee Ryan led the Hopefuls
with a 273 single and 689 triple
that put his team two points
behind Little Bowl.
Robert Glen rolled a 234
single to lead the Doggies to
two points and raise their
season total to 47. Dave
(Muffler) Colborne claims he
had a 684 triple.
French Dry cleaners kept
their pennant hopes alive
raking Roys Boys for five
points to life their season total
to 51. Roys Boys remain in the
basement with 39 points.
Bob Mills was the top
Cleaner with a 285 single and
715 triple. Manfred Poper-
snitch rolled a respectable 275
single and 669 triple for the
Boys.
The Signal -Stars overcame
a sluggish start to lay claim
to five points after spotting
the Recalls the first game.
The Stars now have 49 points
on the season and the Recalls
45.
Tommy Flynn was the
shining star with a 287 single
and 643 triple while Charlie
Williams •tossed a 243 single
and 570 triple for the Recalls.
The Tail .Ends failed in
their bid to take over top spot
by dropping all seven points
to the B.D.'s. The Tail Ends

Suns hit three

Goderich started fast last
Sunday in Walkerton when
the Brown line scored with
only 1:58, played in the first
period. The Suns never looked
back after that outplaying
Walkerton for the rest of the
game. The Orange line with
Trevor Erb, Todd Graham
and Todd Jeffrey gave the
Suns a 2-0 lead at the end of
the first.
The Brown line started the
second period with a quick
goa,1 from Gibbons, Rahbek
and Lomas. Two . minutes
later the brown boys hit for
the fourth Goderich goal from
Doug Lounsbury, Grant
Garrow and Robbie Gibbons.
Walkerton got their first late
in the second.
Walkerton started the third
with a quick goal to make it 4-
2 but the Suns came right
hack when the White trio of
- Ken Huff, Trevor Erb and
David Telford made it 5-2
Goderich. Erb, Huff and
Telford made it 6-2, Graham,
Jeffrey and Telford finished
the scoring for the Suns at
5:26 of the third period.
Scott Stokes, Shawn Rah-
bek, Mike Brennen and
Trevor Martin played their
best defense of the season.
Earlier in the week the Suns
defeated Exeter in Goderich
Thursday by a score of 2-1.
Last Saturday the Suns
defeated Hanover 3-0. Kevin
Feagan played an out-
standing game against
Hanover as he got his second
shutout of the year. The Suns
go to Mt. Forest on Dec. 27 for
an Atom Tournament.
