the Goderich Kinsmen Club to a bus tour around Goderich to see the Christmas lights on
Friday evening. Later they returned to St. George's Parish Hall where they sang carols

Dungannon's oldest
resident, Mrs. Minnie Jones
passed away in Wingham
Hospital on Sunday
December 11, 1977 in her 98th
year, after an eight-week
illness.
She was born in England on
January 21, 1880, daughter of
George and Kate Marsh and
came to Canada when quite
young.
On June 22, 1904, she
married William Albert
(Bert) Jones and lived on
their farm on the 4th con-

58 years before moving to
Dungannon with her son 15
years ago. She is survived by
her son, Melvin; two
brothers, William Marsh of
Goderich and Bert Marsh of
Auburn and nieces and
nephews.
Mrs. Jones was
predeceased by her husband,
Bert Jones in 1932; her son
MurNay in 1910 at the age of 14
moths, two brothers, Arthur
of 117tdnitoba and Harry of
Detroit: two sisters. Mrs.
Floyd (Eva) Rice of Detroit
These two pre-schoolers overcame their shyness enough
to perform a little number at the St. Joseph's School at
Kingsbridge Christmas concert Friday night. The pair,
Jane Brophy, 11/2, and her sister Rachel, 3, looked to dad
and mom, George and Lorraine Brophy, for a little moral
support as they sang Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.

Funeral Home in Lucknow at
2 p.m. on December 19 with
interment in Dungannon.
Mausoleum. Rev. C.' G.
Westhaver' of Dungannon
United Church officiated and
Mrs. Doneida Moffat was
organist. Pallbearers were
Robert Stothers, Thornton
Eedy, Girvin Reed, Irvine
Eedy, Herb Finnigan and
Marvin Smith.
Family and friends met for
lunch ,at the Jones' residence
after the funeral.
