CHURCH NEWS
The Christian Fellowship
Church as a group, plan an
evening of community
carolling on Thursday,
December 22. -
The message given at the
Christian Fellowship Church
on Sunday morning was
based on a verse-) from
Matthew, "Where is 1-te that
is born King of the Jews?"
For centuries men have
been searching for the King of
Kings and Lord of Lords-- for
the King of Love, Joy and
Peace. The Christmas
message is one of joyful
declaration. The King has
been found and can be found
by each one. He came as the
Christ Child, the Saviour of
the world, and can bring to
everyone abundant life here
on earth and eternal life in
Heaven.
The Ambassadors singing
group from Lucknow took
part in the service Sunday
morning. They rendered
several beautiful hymn
numbers, and their con-
tribution was much ap-
preciated by the church
group. Following the service,
they were entertained at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Peter
Martin.
Perhaps the clear weather
and ploughed roads ac-
counted for the excellent
turn -out at the Sunday School
program at Christian
Fellowship Church on Sunday
evening. Pastor Lawrence
welcomed all present and
Kenny , Strong gave a,
welcome recitation.
The junior classes put on a
play, Jeremy's Night of
Wonder, which included the
manger scene.
Several musical selections
were given and the Children's
Choir sang ('Drummer Doy"
with Timmy Martin at the
drum.
Another play, "Linda and
Lou" was enjoyed and the
Adult's Choir, lead by Laverne
Martin
hymn.
Thirteen of the young
people participated in' a
candle -lighting service and
Keith Metzger, president of
the M.Y.F., gave a brief talk
on the meaning of the service.
When more than 70 candles
were lighted in the darkened
church, the message of it all
