Fears of having to cancel the party were overcome. Bonnie Reid, left, was presented the trophy for most valuable junior girl's basketball player at an awards assembly at GDCI Wednesday morning and here compares her trophy with Karen Pond, winner of the senior girl's most valuable player award. The junior award was presented by teacher John Geiger and the senior trophy by Donna Doidge. (staff -photo) C.B. club elects executive The Circle City CB club held its monthly meeting on December 11. The Christmas dance on December 10 was postponed due to road conditions and further notice will be ad-• vertised as quickly as arrangements can be made to reschedule the dance. The club signs have now been posted at the three entrances to Goderich. The members were informed that the O.P.P. and M.T.C. are not - accepting responsibility for road closures and reports on road conditions can be ob- tained from the Clinton and Goderich area MTC. The club will be working with the Goderich and area snowmobile club in extreme emergency situations with "Georgy Girl" in charge. A letter was received from Mr. Mike Dymond thanking members for their help during the "S-anta 1 Claus parade. The draw for "Glass Turkeys" will be made on Saturday, December 17, 1977. It was originally intended for the December 10 dance. The highlight of the evening on December .11 was the election of the new executive and social committee for 1978. Turkey and all the trim- mings were on the menu to get everyone in a festive mood. Even Santa Claus made his appearance and presented gifts and bags of candy to the children. Following, the Christmas dinner, the presentation of year end trophies took place. Top junior for 1977 was Patti Muegge of Seaforth. High point horse for 1977 was Gypsy Mist owned by Noreen Straughan. Gifts were presented to Noreen Straughan for her work as president in 1977 and to Robyn Theedom, Clinton, secretary -treasurer. Robyn kept the wheels well oiled and turning by her fine work for 1976 and 1977.
