The bazaar, organized by the Volunteer Association of the Centre, was held to raise money for various projects involving the residents. It boasted a large crowd. Here, Mary Clairmont of the Volunteer Association (left) and Charlotte Wirtzfeld who was helping out at one of the booths, show off the handmade dolls. Peg McArthur of Meneset Park was the lucky winner of the quilt draw held at the bazaar. She donated her prize back to the Centre to help with the bazaar's proceeds. "The lowest paid members of the crew, male or female, should be able to clear $12,000 in a nine month season. The average for chief officers is around 330,000.
