MR. AND MRS. JAY WILLIAM SMITH

Victoria Street United Church in Goderich was
decorated with yellow potted mums for the wedding
ceremony of Jay William Smith and Marie Jane Huff on
November 12.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Huff
of Goderich and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Gordon Smith of Goderich.
The double ring wedding ceremony was performed by
the Reverend John Wood. Music for the ceremony was
provided by Mr. Bill Chase who sang True Love during
the signing of the register. The Wedding March played as
thebride was escorted down the aisle.
The` bride was given in marriage by her father. She
wore a long white satin dress with lace trim around the
sweetheart neck. The long sleeves were trimmed with
matching lace. The dress featured a ruffle around the
bottom. The train veil had embroidered edges. The bride
carried a bouquet of red roses with lily of the valley in the
centre.
Susan Koster, friend of the bride of Goderich, was
maid of honor. She wore a coral colored gown of
polyester satin with white ruffle trim around the
sweetheart neck and cape sleeves. She wore a band in
her hair the same color as her dress. She carried daisies
and carnations trimmed in the color of the dre's' ruffled
bottom.
Helen Huff, sister of the bride of Goderich, was
bridesmaid. She was dressed the same as the maid of
onor in an aqua color.
Groomsman was Watson Huff of Auburn. Ushers were
cky Smith, the groom's brother of Goderich and John
uff, the bride's brother of Goderich.
Following the wedding ceremony, a reception was held
ItheSandpiper Inn, Vanastra.
The bride's mother greeted gue.sts in a coral colored
ogdress with a white carnation corsage.
The groom's mother chose a blue colored gown with a
ulti colored paint mark pattern and a white carnation
orsage.
For a wedding trip the bride changed to a blue wrap
rtwith a matching top.
1r. and Mrs. Smith will reside in Kingston at the
anadian Forces Base.
Prior to the wedding, the bride was feted at showers

manships for the coming
year. Board policy is such
that at the last meeting of the
year trustees are given an
opportunity to declare can-
didacy for board offices for
the coming year.
The election of the officers
takes place at the board's
inaugural meeting in the next
year and before those elec-
tions the trustees are given a�
second opportunity to declare
candidacy.
R.J. Elliott, of Blyth, in-
dicated he plans to seek the
position of board chairman.
Alex Corrigan, of Wingham,
will seek the post of vice-
chairm.an. Jack Alexander, of
Wingham, and John Hen-
derson, of Seaforth, will seek
chairmanship of the fiscal
and property policy com-
