The company was founded in 1972 by owner and president

John Varty, owner of Furniture World offers free layaway,
free delivery on major items locally and to other Western
Ontario centres such as Hanover Stratford, Wingham,
„ Toronto, Hamilton, Sarnia, Windsor and intermediate points.
• He has great prices, great selection— and great service. John
alsOeperates a separate clearance centre across the hall for
ends of lines, special items and over 200 mattresses and box
springs in all -sizes. John strives to hold the line on prices by
operating their own truck to pick up goods at many suppliers,
thus saving costly freight bills.
The moment you enter the store you get a nice view of most
everything on display: hOwever, this is not to be confused with
the warehouse type store or the divided multi-storey store.
Furniture World — an unusual display for a furniture store
where the "open concept" is utilized.
Now in his third year here,, John finds more and more people
from further afield are discovering Furniture World's great
selection and value.
