The nine clubs taking part were: Kingsbridge Tuti Fruities; Trinity 1; St. Helen's; Tiger Dunlop 1; Donnybrook; Dungannon 1; Trinity 2; Tiger Dunlop 2; and Dungannon 2. Dungannon 3 were unable to attend. In the morning each girl took part in a "Getting to Know Each Other' quiz and presented a fruit dish to the home economist Miss Grace Bird. Brookside happenings Following lunch, ap- proximately 20 mothers came for the performance of skits, demonstrations, exhibits and presentations of awards to the various clubs. The following awards were presented: county honors (those completing six clubs) - Mary Luanne Clare, Kingsbridge; Janice Robinson, Donnybrook; Sandra Pentland, Dungannon 3; and Janice Hackett, Trinity 2, provincial honors - Dorothy Culbert, Dungannon 2. Mrs. Edward Robinson, Donnybrook was presented with a five year- leadership certificate. Mrs. Ruth Axtman, home economist from the Clinton area commented on the skits and presentations. The Spring 4-H program will be "Focus on Living". Each girl completing the club "Featuring Fruit" was presented with a spoon and certificate. There were 14 girls enrolled in the Kingsbridge Tuti Fruities 4-H Club. They are: Margaret Swan', Diane Farrish, Donna Drennan, Diane Miltenburg, Joanne VanOsch, Debbie Drennan, Jackie VanOsch, Shirley Scott, Ann Drennan, Nancy .Miltenburg, Kathy VanDiepan, Donna VanOsch, Mary Luanne Clare and Diane VanOsch. Supply teachers were Mr. Vito Stecca in Mrs. D. Graham's Grade 6 class; Mrs. Barbara Bakker in Mrs. Nancy Cameron's Grade 3 and 4 class; and Mrs. Margaret MacCharles in Mrs. Tebbutt's Grade, 4 and 5 class. Miss Vianne Trezise, French teacher, was also absent because of illness but there was no supply. Hockey has started again for this season. The boy's teams are: Bombers, Cap- tain, Jim Young; Bush- whackers, Captain, Brian Taylor; Sharpshooters, Captain, Bernie Burgsma. On November 16 the Bombers lost to the Bush- whackers 4-1. On November 23 the Sharpshooters beat the Bushwhackers 3-0. The girl's teams are: Trippers, Captain, Lila Stewart; Slapshots, Captain, Charlene Elphick. On November 18 there was a practice for the girls. The girls play every other Friday and the boys play every Wednesday. A 0. Mr. Ralph Austin, son of Mr. and Mrs., John Austin returned to Calgary, Alberta on Monday, November 28 following a 12 day visit with his parents. Ralph had come home for the funeral of his grandfather, Mr. Francis Austin.
