minute and a half expired on
the clock. Jim Van Osch had
gone off for cross checking
and the Lambeth powerplay
connected.
Goderich tied the game
midway through the period
when Hugh Hanly finished off
a three way play getting
assists from Mark Frayne
and Van Osch. Fourteen
seconds later Bill Lewis put
Goderich on top with help
from Phil Arthur.
Lartlbeth scored just over a
minute after the second
stanza started, Dean Sutton
getting an unassisted goal.
Arthur replied for Goderich
with his own solo effort to
give the lead back to
Goderich and then added
another a minute later. The
second goal was assisted .by
Paul Schaefer and Lewis.
Tim Ridsdale brought
Lambeth to within one with
9:15 played in the second but
Goderich added two more to
their total to put the game
away. Schaefer, Arthur and
Lewis combined for two quick
goals Schaefer getting the
first and Arthur the second to
give Goderich a 6-3 lead after
two periods.
Fourteen seconds into the
third period Hanly picked up
his hattrick with an
unassisted goal but Lambeth
came back 23 seconds later to
get that back when Sutton
– scored his second of the
game. Goderich took back a
four goal edge 32 seconds
later when,, Frayne set up
Paul Dougherty. Lambeth got
their final goal with 5:31
played in the third when Gord
Ross scored an unassisted.
